@GettCouped
I appreciate that :) It's tough to maintain passion in an organization, especially one that has been around for a very long time
@GettCouped
I'd assume that the standards for a new version of Windows are a bit higher than what we put out :)
@nadamany
and this is the crux of the problem. This is why silicon alone won't win this for Intel.
@nadamany
I'd be surprised if it were fanless to be honest, at 14nm that's a different discussion
@nadamany
now if someone can properly converge the tablet and notebook, I can see that working
@nadamany
that's a separate issue entirely, the set of killer apps that demand a pricey tablet just don't exist yet
@nadamany
Android wasn't a tablet focus, Intel doesn't offer enough of an advantage in phones to convince OEMs to switch
@nadamany
Bay Trail should be interesting, at this point Intel has the right hardware but not the right design wins
@nadamany
AMD could compete, but look at how long it took Intel to get to this point and it's still not doing all that well
@nadamany
MS needs to support ARM otherwise there's no competition for Intel. MS needed Windows RT about 3 years ago.
