    • The band Journey has seen a resurgence in popularity over the past few years as more people discover its music through shows like "Glee" -- and as those who grew up with the band find themselves drawn into the nostalgia of '80s power ballads. We can't think of a better way to celebrate Journey's return to fame than with a parody song featuring other pop-culture hits -- in this case, Internet memes.

Humordy, a comedy group from Austin, Texas, gives a nod to the group with a new YouTube video, and it's getting a lot of attention on the Web. Borrowing the tune from the Journey hit 'Faithfully,' the group's song "Favorite Memes" recalls memes from the past few years. Everything from "Ehrmagerd Girl" to "Grumpy Cat" is mentioned in the song's soulful lyrics.

One YouTube commenter states "this is the song of the internet." Considering that it includes nearly every meme we could think of, that sounds like a good summary.

So, what do you think: Were any important memes left out? And what is

    • You might see pictures of Jill Brzezinski-Conley and think, at first glance, that she is a famous model in the latest ad campaign for a well-known fragrance or cosmetic line. You would be wrong. As told in a Huffington Post story, Brzezinski-Conley is a 35-year-old woman with incurable stage 4 bone cancer who is fighting for her life. At age 32, Brzezinski-Conley underwent a double mastectomy. Last August, she visited her childhood friend Nikki Closser, a wedding photographer, and asked Closser to take pictures of her breasts so that women could see what breast cancer looks like. She felt that the media never presents an accurate view. The two women hoped to send the pictures to magazines for them to use for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
After the photo session, Closser shared her friend's story and some of the pictures with another photographer, Sue Bryce, who lives in Australia. Inspired by Brzezinski-Conley's story, Bryce contacted her via Skype and then surprised her with a

    • Last summer, I witnessed some of the greatest sporting events of my lifetime while I covered the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. It was one of the most varied athletic events that I had ever seen or could hope to see. And then I was introduced to the Kila Raipur Sports Festival, popularly known as the Indian Rural Games.

Dating back to 1933, the Indian Rural Games may inspire more cringes than oohs and aahs to onlookers unfamiliar with the competitions. Some of the events feature people lifting heavy objects (such as stacks of bricks) with their teeth, speedily tying turbans, and lying on the ground while tractors roll over them. These unusual events are mixed with motorbike stunts, dancing, and a race for participants over age 80. There are also competitions featuring camels, dogs, and other animals.

The three-day festival is a celebration of India's farming communities, and it's gaining attention and new fans around the world. Nearly a million people show up for the event,

    • Some of our favorite stories here on Trending Now just so happen to be about animals. Whether we were drawn in by their cute habits, clothes, or ability to sing, we just can't seem to get enough of them. So it should be no surprise to fans of the show that today's story is about an adorable shelter dog who has become famous for his facial features, which resemble a human's.

His name is Tonik, a 2-year-old poodle/shih tzu mix who has lived at the Homeward Bound Shelter in Mishawaka, Indiana, since 2011, after having been rescued from a kill shelter. Founder Jen Schwartz told us that Tonik is just one of over 100 dogs waiting to be adopted from Homeward Bound. The photos that have garnered so much attention from sites like Gawker and Huffington Post were taken by Renny Mills, who photographs the adoptable animals for the shelter's website. She hopes the photos show each animal's personality.

Schwartz says that ever since Tonik's pictures went viral, she has received more inquiries about

    • Baby Adorably Wakes Up to ‘Gangnam Style’

Sure "Gangnam Style" is overplayed. And yes, the tune is now being used to sell pistachio nuts. But darn it — Psy's monster hit still has the power to make people dance. Even babies stuck in car seats.

Behold Amaya. The little girl is sound asleep in the family car until her parents turn on "Gangnam Style." The moment the song starts thumping from the speakers, Amaya's arms and legs start moving. And there is no stopping her.

While young Amaya shakes her arms, legs, fingers, and toes, an older child, perhaps Amaya's sibling, giggles uncontrollably, wiping tears of laughter from her cheeks.

While Amaya's moves are undeniably entertaining, if you ask us, she doesn't look particularly happy to be dancing (note the slightly distressed look on her face). Still, she's not about to stop moving.
