My fave moment on Fallout 3

Postby GingerNinja8 » 17 Mar 2010, 17:40

Dy'know I think shooting the ghouls with a combat shotgun.

Watching their heads explode and eyeballs, brains and bits of flesh and bone flying everywhere.

I couldn't do anyting but watch, laugh and nearly pee my pants.

ALSO, I really found being The half pint freddie cruger or something in Tranquility Lane.
if You don't find beating the bloody hell out of a old man as you you watch his head explode funny then you are either blind or you dont have a sence of humour.

For me, the most memorable thing right now is walking into the Citadel after adding some awesome mods.

I've started the game again, playing PC version this time, and I've added a load of Warhammer 40,000 mods, and loaded up all the Brotherhood as Ultramarines. Walking into the citadel and seeing Terminators and Marines standing around is a moment of utter geeky awesomeness.

And the best part is, they don't look out of place at all.

Collecting Stuff

Postby tom55 » 21 Jul 2010, 08:51

I have also collected trucks and gnomes and put them outside my Megaton home. It started by accident as I had picked up a few during a clear out of various places after killing everything in site, in order to sell as much as possible to but ammo and stip packs. This was at the very start. As the game progressed I then started to collect plungers and line the walkways in megaton with them. After a few hundred the place started to look quite different every door had gnome gaurds every house had a nuka cola truck parked outside. What became amusing were the comments that started to come from passing residents such as 'your easily amused' and 'stop doing that'. I carried it on for a complete game and then some. Its amazing that the game allows you to deviate and actually alter your surroundings. Next time round I will try setting up camp in a different location and see how the populace outside of megaton react to an intruder. I may even go back to vault 101 and not complete the quest but take up residence and see if that is possible.

Deathclaw Killing

Postby Shadow_Angel » 20 Aug 2010, 18:52

Best moment in Fallout 3 has to be walking into Old Olney and killing a deathclaw by crippling its legs with the dart gun and slowly taking down its health with "Ol Painless" (named hunting rifle) and then finishing it off with a slow motion VATS kill using the shishkebab. :D

Mine would have to be either...

1. Leaping off a ledge towards a Deathclaw armed with a Combat Knife and successfully decapitating it as I went down :D

Or...

2. Rigging the Megaton bomb with the Pulse Charge just so that I could gain access to Tenpenny Tower and have a shot at both Burke and the old man himself. Being a pleasant chap, I then left without detonating the Charge, although I was then unable to complete the quest :L

Woah, talk about *bump*, there's about a YEAR between the preceeding two posts!

But yeah I'd have to say the videos I've seen from the PC version of animals and people being catapulted away!

Though personally for me it was when I fancied getting the achievements for all the different good/evil levels at level 7 and so went to town with a mini nuke on Megaton, destroying everyone in sight in one massive killing spree...sounds worrying when I put it like that.
