Microsoft hiring for new Kinect studios, will "change the world again"

"Compelling and innovative" games on the way

Got something to declare, Microsoft? A pair of new Kinect-focussed internal development teams, perhaps? The company has posted job listings for roles at Platform Next Studios and Leap, which are apparently poised to deliver a new generation of Kinect games.

Leap needs a Senior Software Development Engineer. "We're the people that developed Kinect and profoundly changed the way people interact with technology," bellows the listing in question. "Now our incubation team is ready to change the world again, but we need your help!

"We're a small and growing team of experienced incubators and game developers working with truly inspiring entertainment technology. We brainstorm exciting and ground-breaking experiences and quickly build working prototypes on top of developing tech. We transform our ideas into reality through shipping first-to-market products."

The right candidate will have "an array of skills in AI, gameplay, animation, effects, and physics" and will be "excited to work in an agile development studio to build and iterate on prototypes to evolve and demonstrate our creative vision". Assuming such a prodigy steps forward, we can expect "polished entertainment experiences" and "a compelling and innovative title".

Elsewhere, Microsoft is hiring for a Human Resource Business Partner, based at Microsoft's HQ in Redmond, to support the mysterious Platform Next Studios and Halo 4 developer 343 Industries. Platform Next specialises in "pioneering experiences on Kinect".

Last summer, Microsoft revealed it was aiming to release one Kinect-capable Xbox Live Arcade game a month. Staffing up makes sense, then - though it's also possible Leap and Next are working on Xbox 360's successor, tipped to offer Kinect built-in.

Thanks for listening out, NeoGAF.
