Today, those backpackers are being replaced with “flashpackers”, who are looking for affordable holiday with a few extra amenities. These folks travel in style, and a host of hostels have popped up in Thailand’s capital in the last few years to fill this growing need. With stylish rooms, outlets for charging tech devices and hip social scenes, Bangkok’s hostels have taken a turn for the snazzy. @Hualampong sits right next both Bangkok’s main train station and Chinatown. Its central location is ideal for any hip traveller looking for good food and easy access to Bangkok’s sights, but the hostel also provides a respite from the city.
