Halo 4 Spartan Ops Episode 5 released - watch the trailer here

"Secrets are revealed, trusts betrayed"

Halo 4 Spartan Episode 5, "Memento Mori", is now yours to enjoy. It includes missions set on the Gate, the Cauldron, the Refuge and Quarry, plus another wodge of CGI narrative.

"Secrets are revealed, trusts betrayed and the Sangheili leader Jul 'Mdama's ultimate plan nears success," comments a blurb. "As Infinity's command crew makes a discovery that changes everything we thought we knew about the Forerunner Prometheans, the Spartans must attempt to rescue one of their own."

Trailer! Watch it. There's also a new playlist in regular multiplayer, Team Regicide, which purports to smash everything you know about murdering royals. Read more about it and the forthcoming Crimson Map Pack in our Halo 4 DLC round-up.

Same. But I can be forgiven as I don't have the game. Serious question though, can I still download the episodes without the game? I only ask as I'll be getting it for christmas but I won't have interweb then...

  3. TBH, I'm not sure how much of it is actually downloadable content. It could just be disc-locked. Maps are reused constantly.

IF it is disk locked, then a signal woulds somehow sill need to be sent to the xbox to enable to content to be unlocked.
UNLESS there is a kind of disk release timer inbuild to the softwear somewhere.......?? WHO KNOWS...

  5. Well it's too late now, the xbox is away in a ...box. as is everything else bar the pc. So I'm solely a pc gamer for a week.

Episode 3 is the best so far, but the latest one is finally starting to match what is happening in the cut scene with what is in the game.

Very true. I think Episode 5 is alright but they really need to introduce more maps even if they just use some new multiplayer ones.
