Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen UK release and save imports confirmed, includes entire original game

Fancy a Ferrystone with infinite uses?

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will launch in the US on 23rd April, Capcom has confirmed, with a UK release following on the 26th. An expanded edition of the action-RPG Matt gushed over last spring, it includes all the original's content alongside new areas, missions and foes.

The expansion will be sold as both a boxed and a digital release. As noted by GameChup, players of the original will reap the rewards of brand loyalty when/if they pick up the expansion - save import perks reportedly include a new costume pack, 100,000 rift crystals and an inexhaustible Ferrystone.

The latter will be of particular interest, I suspect, as it lets you fast travel without penalty. I might go see how my old Main Pawn's doing this evening. When last we drew swords together, he climbed into a fountain and complained that he was wet. Salt of the earth.

"Just off the Gransys mainland is the cursed Bitterblack Isle and it is here that gamers will discover an underground realm, complete with new terrifying foes to face and incredible treasure to find as they embark on an all new quest," reads a blurb on the new area.

The full Dark Arisen loadout is below. Ta for the heads-up, VG247.

- A massive new underground realm to explore featuring over 25 terrifying new enemies

- More skills/equipment/augments

- Level 3 Skills

- DD:DA provides each character class with a new tier of skills, giving players new devastating abilities and skills to master

- Over 100 pieces of new equipment

- All new high level weapons and armor sets for players venturing into the underground caverns.

- 14 new character/Pawn augments

- New tiers of equipment enhancement

- Increased character customisation options

- Item appraisal

- Option to select Japanese voice over

  1. Depending which is cheaper, I might go for the disc version. I'd rather have something I can hold in my hands given the choice.

Anyway this'll be a day one buy for me.

  2. Capcom's re-releases tend to be £29.99 and this DLC will probably be 1200MSP or 1600MSP depending on length.

  3. I liked this game enough to play it twice,i am truly gutted i traded it now,if the playtime is long enough i will get it,i still have the save though.

  4. I didn't buy this first time around due to being busy with other games at the time, but this could give me the kick up the arse to buy it. Additional content is always a good incentive. The description reminds me of what they did with Dark Souls, when they released the Prepare To Die Edition with additional areas and more foes.

  5. Missed this when it came out so im going to be picking this up when it comes out

  6. Seems like a perfect jumping on point. I've been interested in this for a while after hearing good things on the forum.

    Badass box art too.

  7. I never got round to getting Dragons Dogma so I think i'll finally man up and get it (even though I recently got halo 4,Dragonborn and xcom which will no doubt kept me going till the end of time:wink: )

  8. So for £20 is it the Dark Arisen expansion or does it include the full game as well? For £20, that's not bad.

It's the expansion and the full game. The PS3 digital version's been confirmed as £19.99 so it should be the same for us.

"The game will be available as both a physical disc and a digital download, and will come with a new area, missions and enemies, while including all the content from the original Dragon's Dogma."
