Areas In Which The LST Can Assist You
The Army Materiel Command’s Logistics Support Team (LST), is a part of the Army Logistics Assistance Program (LAP), and is designed to help you, the Soldier/customer, with all types of logistics problems: supply, maintenance, training and equipment systems. AR 700-4, establishes policy and procedures and outlines the organizational structure for the Army Logistics Assistance Program (LAP).
LST personnel, called Logistics Assistance Representatives (LAR’s) have a wealth of information available at their fingertips. If they can’t answer your questions themselves, they can quickly find the person who does have the answer through their contacts with equipment managers and engineers, depots and publications experts.
As they assist Army units, LAR’s also run across equipment problems – such as faulty fuel pumps – that need attention from the Commodity Commands. Thus LAR’s also help identify and fix equipment problems and improve overall Army readiness.
But LAR’s cannot help unless they know you need help. If you can’t solve a maintenance or supply problem through normal channels, give your local LST a call. Each LAR specializes in a different Commodity Command.
If you have a situation that you cannot solve yourself, and you think that it may fall under the AMC “umbrella”, give us a call. We can provide POC's and telephone numbers of people who can help you solve your problems.
We assist in the improvement of Materiel Readiness by providing Commander’s Logistics Assistance to achieve and sustain DA Readiness goals, analyze materiel readiness by identifying problem areas and assisting in their resolution, provide training on AMC managed equipment, whether it be supply or maintenance, and collect, access and disseminate logistics information. And the best part about us is our service is FREE, in-so-far as it does not entail extended travel.
