Sony confirms The Last of Us demo

Naughty Dog's heavily anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us will be getting a demo, Sony has announced.
Additionally, first access to the Last of Us demo will be given to owners of the upcoming God of War: Ascension.
The Last of Us demo will not actually be available with God of War: Ascension when it launches, but an entry on the main menu will detail how players can access it as and when it becomes available.
No further information on the demo was made available, although Sony said Naughty Dog would detail the contents at a later date on the PlayStation Blog.
God of War: Ascension will be released in North America on March 12, ahead of the worldwide May 7 release date for The Last of Us.
Naughty Dog confirmed a multiplayer mode for The Last of Us in December. For more information on The Last of Us, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

I really do love GOW and all ... but this one, I'm not sure with it's multiplayer aspect ... why put multi in everything when it is always the same crap over and over again ??? ... I will wait before byuing this game and The Las Of Us ... kind of intrigue me but I'm not sure. I didn't like Uncharted at all and at first when I saw that game I thought it was a new Uncharted with more violence ... I just hope the demo will be avalaible after a few weeks to see if it will be something else than a Uncharted 3.0 with M+ violence with tacked-on mindless multiplayer or if it will be an interesting survival game with tacked-on mindless multiplayer.

@Coco_pierrot have you seen or played accension multiplayer.... Its amazing. Play it and your opinion will change very fresh, new idea and very fun

plus it looks like it has some "uncharted d.n.a" in it to so that should make getting this game a no brainer

i think this is just to make a big sell, cause i have noted that most of the people including those who are old GoW players (also myself) are NO longer interested in playing ascension (neither am i )

BTW i have GOWA demo the combat is way different than GOW3
the combat and gfx are huge step over GOW3
and GOW have much more pre orders than the last of us
GOWA will sell shit ton
nd they are putting the last of us demo with it because it's new ip
and that's a very smart way to market a new ip
put a demo for it with a well knowen video game that sell huge numbers

@shadiezz2012 Yeah I seen it earlier. I'm HYPE about the story mode. I like GOW. Matter of fact I might just play through all of them just to refresh the story. But yeah I seen your vids.

@shadiezz2012 @awheaten Call it what you want; it sucks to me. But, I will get the game. But the demo did suck. And if there was a way to train, I didn't see it. IMO only. It sucked pretty badly. Also, I'm not the only one who thought so either.

@shadiezz2012 @awheaten Dude as soon as I join into the game... I died. And, it looks like smash brothers, which I hate. And when you die they don't give you any real player tips on how you died or what you could have done better or even some instructions on how to play. I just found it annoying. With that being said, I'm going to buy the game for single player only.

the story you can't judge it by a demo

Stoked for this game, but I dont think I'll touch the demo. I don't want to spoil anything
It will be interesting to find out what the game actually looks and plays like after being subjected to nothing but scripted cinematic "demos" since announcement

Ah it has been confirmed a number of times by Naughhty Dog that the demos shown were not scripted. By the way, cinematic? Have you watched the gameplay videos at all?

I will probably get GoW when its on sale or at least dropped in price. But I agree with the majority here; The last of us doesn't need a demo to convince people to buy it, they will anyway.

Looking forward to the demo, was planning to get this game anyway, but it'll be nice to get a taste of it beforehand.

Lame. I wouldn't buy ascension for more than 20 bucks. Oh well, it's naughty dog, so I really don't need a demo to tell me it'll be awesome.

@96augment @Plasmid_king After 5 games, I just don't care anymore. Plus it's a prequel. I already know kratos' backstory. I don't need to see it again. Also, I played the multiplayer beta and I didn't think it was anything more than "meh".
