  1. Great new difficulty spike, hard to fault in the slightest. New areas and boss battles scream originality and thought, and PVP is finally everything I could've wanted it to be! Its just a shame it isn't longer! Expand
  2. I don't particularly like the new bosses -- they are quick and jumpy, and I'm guessing this is partially due to pressure to make the game more "action packed" or something of the sort from some executive not completely familiar with this game's mechanics. Because in this game you deal with quick and jumpy by just locking on and holding block, and then waiting for an opening. So to some extent, there is a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing. But this gets a ten anyway, some people might like the new bosses, and I can definitely appreciate that they have graphics and animation that is better than anything else in the game. Also, there aren't any bad spots like there are in the main game (Bed of Chaos, I'm looking at you.) But note that access to the dlc comes later in the game -- my advice is wait until you are at the start of duke's archives before deciding whether or not you want it, because you can't access this content until that point (essentially not until you place the lordvessel, since it is very much at the beginning of duke's archives.) But if you are at that point, you probably already love this game, so go ahead and treat yourself to a nice variety of levels, and bosses that are definitely different from all the arch demons that you are dealing with at this point in the game. This DLC is what's its all about, so much content in regarding areas, bosses, items, etc. I believe they set the tone for future content. From Software did an amazing job. The only gripe about this beauty is that it came out a year later. If you enjoy playing Dark Souls then you defiantly need to buy this. This is one of the very few DLC's, i do not regret purchasing! Enjoy :D Expand
