No 4 Sam Houston State won the Frederick Underwood Classic after battling 11 teams during the the weekend. The Bearkats lost to only North Carolina Central and Bowie State during the tournament.

No. 6 Nebraska won its first tournament championship of the season on Sunday at the Mid-Winter Invitational. The Huskers had an overall record of 10-3 during the three-day event.

Central Missouri jumped four spots to earn its first No. 1 ranking in the NTCA Poll released on Dec. 14. The Jennies have won three tournament titles this season with two runner-up finishes.

WIth the start of the season, these young women are ready to hit the lanes and lead their teams to victory. With the national championship in April, they  have plenty of time to get their teams rolling.
