I've owned 5 consoles. NES, Genesis, N64, GCN, and PS1. I don't remember playing much on the NES...I remember Bubble Bobble, the Marios of course, and...Pinball...uhhh and Lolo? Was that something? That's all. I played all the Sonics on the Genesis, beat them all, loved them all. Fliptop Sonic & Knuckles anybody?

I also remember a game with a boat and you went around shooting these towers...? Rented it once. And ooo, James Pond, who didn't like him?

Anybody modestly acquainted with Mario got an N64 for the beautiful 3D goodness. LOZ: OOT, Super Smash Bros., Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, LOZ: MM, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, classics all.

I got a PS1 for the purpose of playing Final Fantasy VII, which everyone raved about. Actually, I bought the PC version first, but it froze during the first Weapon battle. Damnit. So I bought a PS1. Enjoyed FFVIII, FFIX, Vagrant Story, Legend of the Dragoon (ugh), FFTactics. I bought Parasite Eve, played 15 minutes, then locked it away until last week when I shipped her off to Goozex. That game was unplayable, I'm sorry.

Then the GCN. SSBM, LOZ: WW, Animal Crossing, Pikmin...Tomorrow Never Dies (horrible), and what else...my wife liked the Sims since the Sims games wouldn't play right on our computer.

Oh yeah, I forgot about handhelds! I had a Game Gear, GBC, GBA, and DS. Game Gear I remember just one game, a Sonic game. That thing fucking chugged batteries like Rosie O'Donnell on Yoohoo. GBC, the Pokemons. After I got out of high school I moved in with my sister and didn't work for a while. So I started playing my niece's Pokemon games and...I...was...hooked. I played pretty much straight into last year when I had a meltdown. Too many pokemon. I couldn't HANDLE IT. But dunsparce4prez, yay. Blue, Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald (hello Goozex). I'm not bothering with the latest 2...I don't want to see them.

Oh, Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. The best portable game EVAR.

The DS? Polarium, Nintendogs, New Super Mario, Mario Kart DS, Mario 64 DS, Animal Crossing: WW. Help me.

Oh and I had an XBox briefly. True Crime: Streets of some city and of course, Halo. Big Halo fan, but it didn't last because the Box died after just 2 months. Traded it in at Gamestop for $35 in store credit...broken XBox...awesome.

I am currently playing the original Legend of Zelda on my wife's used NES, the upright cart kind, and Animal Crossing: WW when I can stomach it. I'm waiting for Goozex to really pay off, and a break in the bills so I can jump on the Wii. COME ON DESTRUCTOID. GIMME SOMETHIN'.

Everyone's favorite Miami attorney, Jack Thompson (suck my balls, Gilbert & Smallman!!), has set his sights on a new target. In case you missed it, this article on gamepolitics.com about Dr. Phil asking Jack Thompson to come on his show for a "debate" on video game violence contains a comment from Jack-o. And Dr. Phil, that's like inviting Pamela Anderson to a barbecue.

Referring to the television ads for Take-Two's upcoming game Bioshock, Mr. Thompson says "big trouble is on the way for Take-Two re BioShock," followed by a Howard Dean like "Hooah!" Yesterday morning, Jack sent off his love letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) about TV ads running during Friday night's WWE Smackdown. Said letter contained such classics as "aggressively marketing its newest Mature-rated video game to kids under 17" and a dandy comparison of Take-Two to big tobacco, that rapist of all that is sanctified and combustible.

As gamepolitics.com reports, the FTC found in April that the video game industry adheres to its own voluntary standards on ratings placement, while movies, TV, and music industries continue to market questionable material to young viewers and listeners. Mr. Thompson, foiled yet again!

I'm really tired of the video game industry receiving all the heat over this crap. According to harpies like Thompson, video games are the leading cause of young violence, they make all our kids fat, and make my wife really mean sometimes. How about being real and blaming the culture. America was a violent place LONG before video games were ever thought of. And come on, these BioShock ads were on during a WRESTLING program! I remember when wrestling was considered violent and hated...it's family entertainment now???

I do believe retailers should be stricter about enforcing the ESRB, and they may be, I don't know, I'm of age. However, nothing should be the replacement of a parent to moniter what these kids play. I see 10 year olds with their own cell phones, wearing crotch cuttin'shorts and "He thinks he was my first" shirts. Parenting is a lost art, and I think the culture has lured parents into a false sense of security. These industries want you to trust that this content is safe and wholesome, but the parents have to take the time to check it out. If you don't think it's a problem, go ahead, let little Billy get the Scarface special edition, but know it was YOUR DECISION, and not the production company's.

WELL, since photobucket isn't working and this isn't letting me upload photos into my blog post, I'll just say hello.

I'm Jacob, or Dunsparce4Prez as I'm known in the nets of inter. This is my first blog post on YouTube and hopefully not my last as I hope to bring a little political tirade to this spot every so often...or just a drunken beating of the keyboards, it depends on the party I decide to talk about.

By the way, given the current candidates, who wouldn't take Dunsparce for prez?
