The 2011 – 2012 Cumberland Valley Ice Hockey Club (CVIHC) is envisioning a strong run for the Bear’s Cup this year and in years to come. The club will be fielding a talented group of Varsity players and developing their younger players with a Junior Varsity team and a Middle School team.
Last year the Eagles finished 3rd in the CPIHL standings with a record of 14 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie.
The Eagles have for the 8th straight year Varsity Head Coach, Mike Lombardi. Mike has taught many of the returning players from the time they began to play hockey and feels he has a winning team this year and in years to come. The coaching experience of Steve Capuano, Doug Enck, Brad Findley and Joe Gandolfo will assist Mike on the bench.
Cumberland Valley will be starting this year with talented and dedicated players. Leading the way will be this year’s Seniors: John Gandolfo, Corey Masse, Zach Poorman, Michael St. Hilaire and Brendan Weaver. Juniors, this year, will be Joey Capuano, Michael Casciotti, Tyler Gilbert and Jaryd Pietro. Filling the bench will be the Sophomores: Tristan Enck, Jon Lucas, Ryan Schuck and Freshmen: Collin Bradley, Ryan Lawrence and Shane Sellar.
Combining with the defense to keep the puck out of the net will be the experienced goal tending of Senior, Chris Shapiro and Junior, Jacob Morrow.
GOOD LUCK EAGLES!
