ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

A poem about Bungie's history, more or less.

It all started in Crete
In labyrinths the monsters peeped
Released in '92
sold by Bungie just for you
could've become the origin of LEET.

Kill your enemies, friends, and brother.
(although some would include the mother)
Multiplayer was hot
your mother is not
Point your gun at one another.

From the ashes rose a game, PiD
why do you think I kid?
Released in Nine-Three
Played using some keys
developed art via Adobe.

Oh, did I mention it ran natively?
It made the crowd descend into insanity.
Shrinkwrapped: 500 in total
and sold at Mac's expo
Bungie Studios was the key.

Critically successed
you may have already guessed
they began work
on a new game so blessed
and went by the name "Marathon".

Facing a competitor, DOOM
Bungie fed the crowd via spoons
and started the hype
it gave fans light
in the face of other games gloom.

Multiplayer through LAN? Yes please
Bungie still, continued to tease
Macworld's Game of Fame
Bungie unashamed
had become Apple's new knees.

1+2= 3 games released
But they also made Super Marthon; kapeesh?
Made for the Pippin
Apple began tripping
as it appeared the Pippin was not like the rest.

Ships full of S'Pht
The player must sit
down and fight the awful din
Why you ask?
Pf'hor the win.

Durandal was no longer sane
Confusion started to reign
Players were forced to kill
They may have been ready to thrill
wasn't there something 'bout a sun?

Moving on comes Myth
it was not game number fifth
Facing top down
it took the crown
of really good RTS.

Not much to be said for it
Bungie was stripped of it
Their glory and fame gone
but not to be blamed on
the quality of the last game.

Soon after that comes Halo
it was not a game that would stay low
released in '01
it would not be outdone
the game ratings as bright as the sun.

Bungie released many sequels
as famous as the book of Ezekiel
they developed a site
put fans in new light
and created relationships tight.

So now we are here talking
and some of us occasionally stalking
the website, at that
they changed it to black
and we're still here gawking.

Here we are now in the dark
occasionally provided a spark
talking amongst
some thrown in the trunks
is this place becoming our ark?

Some of you may ask me
"What do you think is the key
to saving the site
from darkness so bright"
So I'll tell them
"Destiny".

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Thanks. One day I sat down and just had a desire to create a somewhat-rhyming poem about the history of Bungie's games. Writing stories is too hard for me, and I don't have any great art-creating software.

So, voila.

Awhh, you could try GIMP, it's a free software for editing? If you like it then perhaps you can buy photoshop later on?

I'm actually currently in a class at school dealing just with Photoshop. It's incredible. I'll be sure to check out GIMP.

Thanks, Max. I like the pun you implemented quite smoothly into your comment. Positive critique definitely outweighs bad criticism, so thanks.

Also, get on here moar.

It has to be lengthy. No historical remembrance can be shortened down into a paragraph or so. However, I'll keep that in mind for later projects.
