Earlier this month, our beloved cousins overseas revealed that Square's Tomb Raider reboot will add competitive multiplayer for the first time in Tomb Raider history. Yesterday we went to play it, and grill the developers on how it works. Helpfully, we recorded this in the form of a gameplay video.
Below, you'll find Log talking with gameplay director Daniel Bisson about how in Tomb Raider online you won't be able to do long-range sniping, why knocking someone down doesn't stop them killing you, and the extreme usefulness of being able to summon a sandstorm mid-game. This is a new video format for us, so let us know what you think of it.
Tomb Raider will be out on March 5th. Ed's not sure whether he likes it or not, although he's pleased to hear that it definitely doesn't have rape in. Does the online multiplayer look interesting enough to get you to buy?

lol is all I can say. Not in a good way. Also, by video format do you mean getting a dev/pr guy and chatting whilst playing type dealy or format as in embedded youtube - either way, they're both good.

Does Tomb Raider really need multiplayer? They can say whatever PR bull they like, £10 says this has just been tacked on for sake of a few extra sales from people who don't give a monkeys arse about the singleplayer.
Looks a bit pants, reminds of Bioshock 2 again...
