Bingo. Unfortunately that's what it's turning into. Without all the fancy entertainment features it could be much less expensive.

It's not that the Kinect will always be watching/listening. I couldn't care less about that and it doesn't bother me. I just feel like it's still really gimmicky and unnecessary. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it, but I feel like navigating the Xbox One with just a controller would be much faster than waving your hands around like an idiot.

And yes, there is a mic built into the Kinect, but it's hard to hear people talking through your TV speakers most of the time because the game gets in the way.

I feel like a Kinect-less version of the Xbox One would go a long way. If there were a bundle like the PS4: A $399 Xbox One, game, and year of Xbox Live I would probably preorder it again. Right now, though, $500 for a gaming console alone is way too much.

That's awesome that they changed those things, I didn't know that and didn't expect them to. I may just wait for a few months after they're both released and decide then.

I really don't care about the kinect. I have the current version and rarely use it, so I don't think the new one would be any different.

The title says it all. Microsoft has really turned me off of the new console, even though I know there is a new Halo on the way.

For starters, the price is outrageous. $500 for a console is absolutely insane. At first when I preordered it, I tried to justify it, but I can't any more. By the time I pay for the console, a game (or two), and a new Xbox live subscription (because I will need another in November), the thing will cost me over $600.

Other things that turn me off are the new mandatory kinect, no included headset, their new policy on used games, etc.

I'm seriously considering the PS4 as a more viable option at this point.

What do you all think? Will you guys be preordering/getting the Xbox One?

This happens to me all the time! I think it's lag or something.. I'm sure that you're already dead when you switch to your secondary weapon... It's annoying, but I don't think that it prevents you from killing your attacker.

Yeah, but your k/d can still be good while joining in the middle of the match... Win/loss and CSR suffer due to JIP, however.

Yeah, Regicide is just a bad gametype. The leader is at a huge disadvantage all game with the waypoint over their head and the inability to get regicides. That's why I usually stick to rumble pit if I want a free-for-all game. Regicide is silly.
