"Get ready!"

Anyone who hung out in arcades in 1985 knows "Magical Sound Shower" from the super-popular driving game Outrun. I couldn't wait to hear the SST version. I popped it in, and when the intro came on I knew it was going to rock. "Magical Sound Shower" is one of Sega's greatest pieces ever, and the SST band did it complete justice. Who would have thought that beach music could still be cool?

Even though this is an old CD, the instruments do not sound dated at all. The drums' bass response will shake your house! The keyboards and electric guitars sound great as well. The arcade OSV also sounds good, even though it is from 1985! My only real complaint with this CD is that the SST band didn't do an arrangement of "Last Wave". But that is minor.

To anyone who decides to buy this CD, I recommend listening to it while driving. You may wind up doing 80mph, but it's worth it. For around 15 U.S. dollars, you cannot go wrong with this one.
