Show Summary

"Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!" Saturday Night Live is a sketch comedy show that has run since the fall of 1975. Many now-famous actors and actresses such as Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Paul Shaffer, Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscopo, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Martin Short, Damon Wayans, Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Dennis Miller, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Conan O'Brien, Mike Myers, Ben Stiller, David Spade, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Norm MacDonald, Molly Shannon, Will Ferrell, JimmyFallon,Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler got their start from Saturday Night Live. SNL is still unique amongst other sketch shows because of the fact that it has always been live. Also known as: "NBC's Saturday Night" from October 11, 1975 to July 31, 1976. "Saturday Night" from September 18, 1976 to March 19, 1977. "Saturday Night Live" since March 26, 1977. "Good night and have a pleasant tommorow!"

    MY HUSBAND AND I FOUND IT VERY FUNNY THAT OUR MUSICAL SON HAD JUST RECORDED HIS SONG, "GO AWAY" ( that says go away, go away, come back on a brighter day---just go away, go away, go away ! When you feel that everything's against you---and there's nothing in this world, nothing you could do, just go away, go away, etc. ) AND THEN THE REPUBLICANS STARTED WITH THEIR "GO AWAY ROMNEY GIG ! We thought how funny that the song he recorded & wrote years ago matched & that it would have been great on your show ! The timing was just a bit off , but what a co-incidence ! The words went perfectly with the situation ! Kevin just couldn't afford to record it before now but he composed, sang, & played all 4 instruments himself and did the back-up vocals also ! He's really naturally gifted--no lessons--but a B of A from Cal State on the Dean's List ! He is very versatile---a waltz for the piano, love songs & even childrens' tales about animals.     The overall show was great but the best, most hilarious skit I've seen in a long time was with C.K.(?) and the gal in the bar. That was so hilarious!!!! Those two are great comedians. I don't know the actress' name but she is amazing. And C.K. is hilarious too.
