Out of my way, I’m working here! It’ll never get done if you don’t do it! Just work! Not that I want to work…

06/03 (Thursday)
Record one of S-san’s songs for the first time in a while. Such a nice voice really helps save the song from its own crudity.

06/05 (Saturday)
Take a ride on my Vespa to a nearby Asama Shrine where they’re doing a big festival that comes only once every three years. Hrm…once every three years, and they call this ramshackle affair a festival? As I made my disappointed exit, what should catch my eye, but (I have no idea why) an outdoor supply shop! I buy a charcoal extinguisher, and a percolator for coffee, and some other stuff, all for 1,500 yen! ($14USD). I go home a happy man.

Lately, I’ve been really getting into handmade pasta. The trick is in the mix of light flour, heavy flour, egg, and water. Won’t someone teach me the usual percentages? Of course, I don’t know, because no matter what amounts you use, or how you knead the dough, or how you stretch the dough, or how thick the noodles are, or what flavors you add, hand-made pasta is always delicious.
