The Manx Electricity Authority (MEA) is a statutory body charged with providing the people of the Isle of Man with a safe, reliable and economic electricity supply. The Authority has responsibility for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and for the billing and collection of revenue from these activities.

Gas

Gas is provided through one of the most intensive networks found anywhere. All the main towns and villages and many of the small hamlets are supplied with gas through a mains network. The supply company, Manx Gas Ltd is jointly owned by two partners being the International Energy Group, with gas utilities in Guernsey, Jersey and Portugal and Calor Gas Plc the principal supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products in the UK with similar interest throughout main land Europe.

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority is a statutory body and is charged with ensuring the economic, efficient and effective provision of the services and infrastructure necessary to meet the Island's needs in terms of a wholesome supply of drinking water. The principal objective is to provide a safe, reliable and high quality water supply to customers' homes backed by an equally efficient customer service. The vision of the future is Crystal Clear Drinking Water for the Island's population.
