This soundtrack was a promotional item for the premium version of KID's acclaimed visual novel Ever17 -The Out of Infinity- on PSP. The soundtrack itself is nearly identical to the prior Ever17 OST except for a pair of new vocal pieces entitled "It's a Fine Day" and "The Azure ~Blue Memory." Strangely, the tracklist appears in a new order in the liner notes (and is reflected as such on our tracklist), but the actual music is in the same order as the other soundtrack. "Drittes Auge nehmen" got moved in the listing, but it shouldn't have. As a result, the tracks from 19 to 25 are misnamed on this disc. Smooth one, Cyberfront / 5pb.

"It's a Fine Day" came out swinging with a killer beat that dares you not to jump off your couch and start dancing vigorously. The vocalist had a smooth voice and is not afraid to occasionally sing at the upper limits of her range. It's a great song, but I'm not sure if it's the right song for the game. I think the opening song "LeMU- Distant Continent of Lemuria" fit the game better and I personally liked that song more, even though "It's a Fine Day" had a superior vocalist.

"The Azure ~Blue Memory" started out ballady and awesome for 8 seconds before going into a catchy, if generic, pop rock piece with solid, if unremarkable, vocals. Those first 8 seconds really felt like Ever17 and were the best part of the song. Even though I did not particularly care for this song, it was a head and shoulders above the prior ending song "Aqua Stripe," which I thought was terrible.

So there you have it. The new opening song was good, but not as good as the previous one. The new ending song was mediocre, but worlds better than the previous one. So in comparing this soundtrack to the prior one, everything breaks even.
