Dave Yeager Reviews Editor, Programmer
I've been into gaming as long as I can remember. Cut my teeth at a real young age on those Pac Man machines at Pizza Hut where you could set your drink on the screen. I had the Colecovision console with an Atari cartridge adapter that you could plug into it. I had the NES back when you got ROB the Robot as part of the package.
I've also played tabletop RPGs for almost as long: Dungeons & Dragons, Burning Empires, Burning Wheel, Shadowrun, etc. I've been fortunate enough to play with the same core group of people for over a decade now. If you like video game RPGs but have never played tabletop, I encourage you to give it a try!
I graduated from Villanova University in 2002 with an English degree and have been working as a computer programmer since then. For the last several years I've been plying my trade at a very large financial institution.
I absolutely love programming, am a morning person, and love Mondays because I get to try new things. There is probably something seriously wrong with me.
I'm a rabid baseball fan, and owe the Phillies my allegiance. I remember the glorious heartbreak of 1993 with almost as much fondness as the unadulterated joy of 2008. I take Opening Day off every year as a religious holiday so that I can be at the ballpark. I also follow the Blue Rocks, a minor league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals that plays practically next door in my home town of Wilmington.
I play dodgeball, wiffle ball, and kickball with Delaware Sports League. These can only very loosely be deemed organized but the company and beer specials are excellent.
If I'm not doing any of the things already mentioned or at home playing games/reading/tinkering/sleeping, there is the distinct possibility I'm at Delaware Park betting the ponies, trying to find order in the chaos like countless suckers that have come before. I'll let you know if I find any.
I married the coolest girl I know. She is a Cubs fan. Nobody is perfect.
