Electronic Arts (EA) develops and publishes video games. The company was founded in 1982 by Trip Hawkins. Well known products include the Batllefield Series, Command & Conquer Series and many sports games under the EA Sports label. In 2008, Electronic Arts unsuccessfully tried to acquire Take-Two Interactive. In 2009, EA was the third largest video game company in the world.
