Nintendo selling cheap pets, puppies aren't just for xmas

According to my Doctor Who calendar, the time of year where children are encouraged to support obesity by leaving cookies out for a fat burglar who magically fits in chimneys is almost upon us. I'm preparing by trying to make excuses so I don't have to spend too much time with my family and loved ones and I'll probably be buying cheap tat from someone's car boot. I'm merry, oh so bloody merry. The festive folks over at Nintendo are trying to get into the Christmas spirit with about the same amount of enthusiasm.

On December 4 Nintendo will be offering new bundles for you to put in stockings, wrap up in hideous wrapping paper and give to someone you feel a small amount of affection for. Or you can just get them for yourself, if that's your thing. The new bundles include a pink 3DS, because girls celebrate Christmas too, and either Nintendogs + Cats: French Bulldog and New Friends or Nintendogs + Cats: Toy Poodle and New Friends. The MSRP for the new bundles is $169.99 which is the same price as the standard 3DS, which isn't bad at all. And remember, kids, when you get sick of looking after your virtual pet after Christmas, don't flush it down the toilet.

PUPPIES!!!
I really want a dog, but my apartment doesn't allow them. So I bought Nintendogs + Cats to fill the void. The original Nintendogs did the job just fine but all the magic was lost with this title. Now I still want a real dog.
I usually flush all my puppies down the toilet.
I actually bought my original DS with a Nintendogs bundle. I thought it was a fantastic game, but I've yet to give in to the 3DS update. Maybe one day, now that I own the thing.
I bought a launch 3DS so i can't buy a bundle, but these bundles are very nice.
Oh lawd... The British is strong in this one.
What's a tat?
Those dogs aren't corgis.

THOSE DOGS AREN'T CORGIS.
"I'm preparing by trying to make excuses so I don't have to spend too much time with my family and loved ones and I'll probably be buying cheap tat from someone's car boot."

What? lol.. I'm sensing something of a cultural clash that's keeping me from understanding almost that entire sentence, lol.

"The MSRP for the new bundles is $169.99 which is the same price as the standard 3DS, which isn't bad at all."

Either Nintendo is trying to get rid of their stock of this game; they don't think the pink will sell; or that price isn't whats going to stick on the actual market. I can't believe for a second they'd undercut themselves right now without a good reason.

"On December 4 Nintendo will be offering new bundles for you to put in stockings"

$169+ isn't really a stocking stuffer, that's entering big gift territory : /

@King Sigy

The game doesn't seem to be a huge upgrade from the original, sadly. The addition of cats kinda feels like a superficial last minute addition. Your not really missing much and I definitely implore you to spend the money on something else, even a DS game, if something else you want strikes your fancy.
Exchange tat for crap and boot for trunk and I'm sure you will understand it perfectly.
