Final Fantasy VII Goes To PC.. Again
The downside? It's not through Steam.
07.04.12 - 11:32 PM

There's been much speculation of late that Final Fantasy VII would be available on PC through the Steam service. Well, the rumours were half-right, the game is coming back to PC... but not through Steam (yet). Rather, it'll be downloadable through Square Enix's own online store.

Of course, this is not the remake that many are hoping for. In fact, just recently Square has said that the remake won't even happen until Final Fantasy VII is surpassed or topped by another title in the series. The new PC version will, however, support achievements (36 of them to be exact), cloud saves (insert a thousand terrible puns here), as well as a character-building feature that will let you increase your HP, MP, and gil.

Here's an announcement trailer from Square Enix UK, and below is an official website for the PC version. So far no date has been set.
