Rune Factory 4 Trailer, Screens
Fighting, marriages, and other adventures.
06.14.12 - 1:50 AM

Unlike the success of the use of certain lines (say, ones that involve 'reach and flexibility') in games like Mass Effect, coming on too strong while courting in Rune Factory 4 can backfire. Unless your mate's affection level is high enough, they might think you're joking if you confess your feelings too early, for example. If you want to increase this level, try talking to them every day and bringing them gifts.

Once your confession is favourably reciprocated, the game unlocks special events and scenes/conversations between the characters, and even simple things change, like the way they address each other. This time around, Rune Factory 4 is more focused on relationship buildup than simply jumping into a marriage. You'll be able to go on dates - and even see each other in pajamas if you get that far. When you marry and have children, you can take the entire family on a vacation.

The trailer below, meanwhile, covers all aspects on the game, not just relationships. You'll also catch some footage of the farming and battling aspects.

You'll also find a few screens in our gallery below - one includes Porcoline Toule Viviage, a new character. He's a chef, but works slowly, seeing as he tends to eat while he cooks. However, he has a big heart and likes to help people.

Rune Factory 4 for 3DS is due out in Japan on July 19th.
