Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers Announced For 3DSSeems that Atlus will never run out of MegaTen games to remake.04.24.12 - 11:33 PM
If you're a
Shin Megami Tensei fan who was wondering what life there would be for the series (and its subseries) past the Persona remakes, Famitsu has your answer.
Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is now headed to the Nintendo 3DS.
Soul Hackers was originally a Sega Saturn then a PSone title, taking place in Paradigm X, a virtual world. As the protagonist you're a member of the Spookies hacker group, using a gun computer, or GUMP, to hack your way through the world. The 3DS version will see improved load times, add full voice acting plus battle animations, and have a new opening from Satelight, the company behind the Persona 2: Innocent Sin opening animation.
Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers already has a Japanese release date of August 30th. Not so surprisingly, there is no English announcement from Atlus USA yet.
