Two Final Fantasy XIV Promos Announced

Square Enix today announced two incentives to get players to check out the latest updates to Final Fantasy XIV, both former and loyal. Legacy is designed for the latter - that is, those who have been a subscriber for at least 90 days since January 6th of this year (up to the start of the beta test for version 2.0). These players will have a chance to lock in to the standard subscription at a lower price - $9.99 per month in place of the usual $14.99 - in which you can create up to 8 characters per world, and 40 characters total. As an added bonus, you will also get an exclusive Chocobo mount when 2.0 fully launches. Legacy members will even see their names appear in version 2.0's credits.

The Welcome Back campaign is the promo for those with inactive accounts. These players are invited to play for free anytime between the evening of May 9th and May 20th and have a chance to check out the new content in the latest patches, like the job system that 1.21 introduced and the additions that 1.22 will bring - such as a big fight against Garuda.
