Today, Nintendo released a six-minute overview trailer for
Fire Emblem: Awakening, the strategy RPG series' first Nintendo 3DS entry. As you night expect from the word 'overview' and the length of the trailer, you'll get an eyeful here: Gameplay, classes, and characters. Nintendo has confirmed that some cameos from other Fire Emblem titles (plus some rare items) will be distributed via SpotPass: Marth, who appears near the end, Innes from
Sacred Stones (GBA), Ira from
Genealogy of Holy War (Super Famicom), and more. There will also be paid DLC, StreetPass support for both co-op and competitive play, and an option to use local wifi to use the 'dual system' feature to help others in battle.

Fire Emblem: Awakening releases in Japan on April 19th. A European release so far as been confirmed, but no word yet from Nintendo of America.
