Kimberley Wallace Managing & Reviews Editor
I've always loved two things in my life: writing and video games. So, I've decided why not put the two together and see what happens. I'm a college graduate from the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!). I have a BA in Journalism and English along with a minor in Psychology. I seriously became interested in writing reviews when I took a class entirely devoted to it my senior year of college. I actually had been reading this site for quite some time, but didn't join the forums until 2007. I really came to love the community at RPGFan and soon realized that it would be the perfect place for me to grow as a reviewer. And grow I did, I am now the Managing Editor; I keep everything in check and make sure things are running smoothly here at RPGFan.
As far as video games go, I've been playing since I was five. I'm going to give credit where it's due and give it to my brothers who introduced me to games. I remember sneaking into their room when they were at school and setting up the NES. Soon after this, my love for RPGS started, and my life began to revolve around cutscenes. In these scenes, I enjoy well written dialogue and characters, along with an unpredictable narrative.
Outside of video games, I enjoy watching 80s movies, listening to some classic rock whether it be The Beatles or Led Zeppelin, and I also get way too invested in my TV shows (Angel and Buffy fan for life!). I always say one day I will write my own. I'm also a huge hockey fan and one diehard Chicago Blackhawks supporter. I also enjoy playing all the EA iterations of the NHL series, and am a ranked player. I take my hockey seriously. Out of all this, I enjoy creativity and exploring what I can do to always make my writing feel new and relatable. I thrive to make my words matter, and I hope I can continue to keep you entertained as a video game journalist.
