Gaming's been a part of my life as long as I can remember. My brother, with his Commodore 64 and Amiga while I was just a baby, to my NES and Genesis, to my teenage years with a PSone and Dreamcast, all the way to the modern day. I remember playing - and beating - Phantasy Star II at the age of ten, which means I peaked early, because hell if I have the patience to wade through that many labyrinthine dungeons with no map and an absolutely brutal random encounter rate anymore. I still love RPGs as much as when I started playing them, even as much as the genre has changed.
I've spent plenty of time with just about every nerd standby: Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, World of Warcraft, and any number of Steve Jackson and Fantasy Flight board games. I love board games of all shapes and sizes, though I just can't get my girlfriend to ever play Risk with me. I also take a big shine to hockey, and although I live in the Chicago area, I am a hardcore Anaheim Ducks fan. I try and get out there and skate myself every so often, since it's really just a rush for me.
I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Communication Studies (focus in Computer-Mediated Communication) and I work in eCommerce for a major industrial supplier. The one thing about the Midwest that I miss about back home? In 'n' Out Burger. I pine for thee.
