What happened to the Fiends?  It gets boring fighting only humans, especially ones that don't shut up!

Unless they try to improve, and i guess they did it, my god, 6.0 ! Kevin seens to complain more then explain, nothing against you.

They should've started from ground zero.  You can polish a turd all you want, but at the end of the day it's still just a turd.

But doesn't the action seem a tad bit slower than it did in 1 and 2?  It's like Ryu is on heroin in the third one.

I have been playing this all day and I think it is really good. It reminds me of NG1/Black from xbox, one of my most favorite games of all time. This is just like that, except there is no free roaming aspect to it now, much like NG2. Also enemies are not respawning, so you can't grind out karma. I used to spend hours killing bats and other enemies to practice my combos and get more karma. I should mention I thought NG2 was terrible, but I really like this so far.

Also, the flying swallow technique isn't as effective this go around. It once used to randomly be an ista-kill for lower level fiends and enemies, but now it just stuns them. I have also been unable to get the full Izuna Drop combo to complete, might I might just have to upgrade the sword to a higher skill level. Another thing about this is, this by far has the best graphics of any of the Wii U games I have played. And I think it is a great game overall. It just has a real old school charm you can't deny.

I would rate the original Ninja Gaiden on xbox a 10 and this would be a solid 8 (so far.)

Kevin, you're just so apathetic, really you didn't say anything about the modifications, hell you didn't even talk about the huge improvement that dismemberment is in this new version. Your reviews are just becoming duller , I think you need a good night sleep before going to work.

What is so wrong with this version? They added everything and more that most fans were complaining about and that's the best they? can say about it? What else does gamespot want??? They added mostly what was missing from previous ng games. smdh

By the time I get a WiiU, this game will be avaiable only as "pre-owned" in the market. At least I have some peace that devs improved the bad game of the saga that gave them popularity before. Wish this version was on the other consoles.

I'm F*ing done with Team Ninja.  Every time I've purchased a NG game, they've always released a better version on another platform.  I thought for sure with the multiplat release of part 3 EVERYONE was getting the same game.  Clearly I was wrong.  F*k you TN.  Itagaki is laughing at your @$$3$.

The Xbox versions are simply better.  Everytime they port it to another system, they ruin it somehow.  In Sigma 1, the enemy A.I. is dumbed down.  In Sigma 2, the blood is gone and the game is too easy.

@OhSnapitz Meanwhile Itagaki can't even find a publisher. While Team Ninja continues to work. Yeah I am sure he's laughing. (sarcasm)

This review is a lie. I saw the original and you compain'd at a lot of stuff that here there's no more.

This seems a dissatisfied child that is angry for having a better version on the Wii U and complaining. How do i know that? I watched the user score. LOL

I already knew this was going to be just a less bad version of the PS360, but still it is good to know that Team ninja is trying to bring the extra content to everyone including PS360 owners.

Without Tomonobu Itagaki, Team Ninja is lost.

@CivilizedPsycho Man I am so sick of that. The better version of NG2 was made when they fired him. He is also responsible for making Team Ninja waste their time with 2 dumb ass beach Volleyball games. The man has made crap too and people easily overlook that. Also the guy can't even release his damn game. This is like saying Santa Monica is nothing without David Jaffe.

@CivilizedPsycho I wouldn't go that far.  This game is proof that Team Ninja can improve upon past mistakes.  I think they'll put out a few more hit or misses before they find their groove, though.

And still no ninja gaiden sigma 3?

KokutenNagaki

@gokuss4z I think this might as well be called Sigma 3. I doubt they will release this game under a different name a 3rd time. I think we wait for Ninja Gaiden 4 now.

The reviews of 3rd party games on this system have been pretty disappointing.

BrunoBRS

@Bobzfamily it's to be expected. new console launches are usually filled with previous-gen ports that don't do much with the system, and the devs aren't used to the new hardware yet. the latter is intensified on nintendo systems, since ninty likes to add those new types of play to new systems.

but they'll get better. just look at the DS and the wii.
