There is a slight correlation between member join date and member quality, but only due to more exposure to the rules.I would definitely agree that there is a correlation between the two. There is also no doubt that Bungie recognizes this correlation, Otherwise, we would see more moderators that have a later join date.

That being said, having a earlier join date absolutely does not dictate that a member will be of "high quality".

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

I'm 2008 and am just a non-contributing regular would responds to threads. I don't take on massive tasks of connecting obscure points like SonicJohn.

It can, it really can. For the most part though I'd have to say no. The only time I use the data is when a member is acting out in an unusual way. Generaly I have a bias for reporting members that are very new.

Also, I've seen plenty of Legendary and Mythic members act horrible and get banned. It's always a surprise.

I usually based someone's title bar, not join date, on the quality of user. I personally think the bar system is a good first basis judge of someone's behaviour. Then I'll judge them by what their post says.

I could care less when they've joined the site.

Wait, how does this work? One thing this thread is missing is the fact that multiple accounts/join dates aren't being taken into accountability.

For instance, I'm a member that has been apart of the Bungie community since 2007, right when H3 blossomed all over my face. Alas, my current and only account is from 2009.
