Hovering the cursor over the name bring up (previously known as ____). Or a section of the profile to see a user's previous names.

Another big community I was in allowed bi-annual name changes, I disappeared from it for about a year and a half. I felt like I didn't know anyone there since so many had changed their names.

Finally, I've been wanting to change me username for ages. Back when I first signed up for xbox live I set up my GT and B.net name as Mac2po (similar to C3p0, but the zero replaced with o), now I'm gonna just change it to Mac2pro, or maybe Mac if no-one takes it. That would be cool.

Shouldn't be too difficult though, especially if every user can edit the "previously known as_______" part themselves. That way they don't have to add any complicated linking to the old name. I could be completely wrong though, I don't know much about this stuff..
