I play Fifa since '96, every other year I buy a new one (so I skip the odd years). I did that uptill Fifa '10, then I lost interest. I always love Fifa games and if I'd buy it I know I'd play it, but I just don't feel like playing Fifa anymore.

We had the chance to play a few matches of FIFA Soccer 13 recently, so we decided to discuss what's new, what's changed and how it feels from both a newbie and veteran perspective.

NFL-National "Football" League... OMG they are touching the "ball" with hands! WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! Stupid people stole "FOOTBALL" from the real game FOOTBALL- foot and ball, no touching with hands, otherwise it's a foul... WTFFFFFFF
@mordorgod Actually, "Football" was originally used to define sports played "on foot" so as to distinguish them from horse-riding sports which were played by the aristocracy and dominated the early sporting scene..The term soccer originated in England as slang abbreviation of asSOCiation football..

Maybe if you all just stamp your little feet and hold your breath until you turn blue we North Americans will give in and call this "football" and find another name for our own game. Ya think?

@xaviermf Yeah, that works fine for people elsewhere referring to the sport. But North Americans are gonna suddenly say "American football" every time they mention the game, and shift the meaning "football" to what we now call soccer? Don't think so. I understand you folks' sensitivities -- that's the name you know it as. But since we North Americans make ALL the quality sports video games ... tough luck. :) I do like the sport, by the way, whatever you call it.

Matter of opinion but he definitely was not the best in history. Would have liked to see him roam a little more from the mediocre Brazilian leagues. Of course he destroyed internationally too playing for Brazil. But for a skilled player in those times, Brazil was clearly one of the easiest teams to play for and perform with.
His goalscoring record is impressive but I don't think many Brazilian league teams in the 60's and 70's had great defensive set-ups or goalkeepers. I'd like to have seen him perform at a more challenging league level with a bigger team and then perform at a smaller international team with lower-skilled players against teams like the one he played for, Brazil.
Definitely one of the most skilled players ever born, and he has alot of trophies to show. But he's not the best in history.
Like you well said, it's a matter of opinion. Speaking of which... in your opinion, what makes a player the best in history?
If the answer to the previous question is based on the amount of times he scored, then (as you already know) Pelé scored tons of them. Not only he scored goals by the bucket load, he was able to shoot using both legs, dominated the air game, scored in acrobatic fashion. He also made goals from the penalty spot and taking freekicks.
Going back to my question, if the answer is the amount of titles he won, then he also has tons of them. Mind you, not only did he win local (Brazilian) titles with Santos (more than 15), he guided Santos when they won 2 Copa Libertadores (vs Peñarol & Boca, respectively) and 2 Intercontinental Cups (vs Milan & Inter). Besides all that, he also lifted the World Cup 3 times, playing for his national team.
Yes, the pace nowadays is a LOT faster than it used to be played a few decades ago, but then again, controlling the ball on a pitch without the modern draining system, was also a lot harder. Speaking of which, the ball used in the 60's & 70's? Like kicking a coconut!
So, what makes a player, the best in history?

Omg this is the worst review ever!!!what were they thinking by making these two characters even review the game,i mean the lady clearly syas she is a first timer which shouts out to anyone that she should not be reveiwing this game,the review should have been done by an expiereinced gamer who has a good knowledge of football(not soccer),this review makes the game sound even worse lets hope it delivers on all its promises. i'm a firm supporter of PES but they seemed to have kinda lost the plot recently so i turned back to fifa lets hope this season we get a good release by both offering better gameplay in general and not jus minor tweaks and new menus which try to fool us into thinking we gto a brand new game!!!

That was a terrible review. Please don't attempt to review a sports game when you haven't the slightest about the respective sport. 1 comment summed it up, "The AI supposedly runs on to the ball better but we didn't experience any of that because we played against other people". Are you on crack, as a 'games reviewer' do you know what AI is exactly. Terrible understanding of the game, please for sports games get competent reviewers, thank you.

that was by far the worst preview video ever - what exactly are you pre-viewing?? that women do not know how to play fifa?? you kick a ball?? is that what she said??
As a PC player i really enjoyed playing FIFA 12. FIFA 10 was just awful compared to its console versions. 11 was a bit better but FIFA 12 brought the quality which was normal on the console versions. So I'm really waiting for 13. A lot of new things, if the AI is better and the collision engine is better plus the added first touch and tactical free-kicks is just some things which in my opinion will add more depth into the gameplay. Can't wait :D

what i want from fifa 13 is:
better face sim fo the players
more add ons on the online features i actually saw an trophy room in some trailers
the free kicks must be better not just adding the tactical but the way the players shoot like messi or ronaldo
some fun and big competition in head to head seasons it gets boring after some time
and the commentary a little bit better
for example i like when a team have a fast counter attack the commentator give more Excitment
