I already pre-ordered the game I cant wait to get it!

Looks great especially hunting at night

Mr-ricka18 12 pts

is it just me or does killing a wolf or deer look very very simple in this footage???hopefully they will make it more challenging not only the wildlife but guards and targets to. cause i really love this franchise  but they should make it more difficult. And now they finally make guards attack you with each other  but at the same time they put a new counter attack in the game that prevents it for being more difficult. i really hope that they will force you to think as a assassin.

ricochet34227 5 pts

maybe later but it does not look all that good right now

lets see how it comes out

erMonezza 92 pts

Looks nice, except for the ship part, not really care for that. I was really looking forward to this game, but a DLC extended story, 30$ pass, f*** that.

I won't buy AC3.

Who cares, I won't even register in the vast ocean of AC followers.

cheers

Chris_Perine 5 pts

erMonezza why are you so mad at a great and beautiful game just dont get the dlc

erMonezza 92 pts

 Chris_Perine not mad, just disappointed.

project343 18 pts

erMonezza  Chris_Perine You're going to have a hard time buying modern games if you won't purchase a game with a season pass.

erMonezza 92 pts

project343  Chris_Perine Don't want to argue or sound like a smarass, but then I'll save some money.

It bothers me soooo much that devs announce DLCs even before the game comes out. It's obvious they've planned the DLC story ahead and didn't put it in the full game.

That's it.

Like I said, me not getting the game won't be noticed by anybody.

project343 18 pts

erMonezza  Chris_Perine You clearly don't know a lot about game development if you think this is the case. DLC is mapped out well ahead of time to keep the development team on-track and to make sure that DLC works seamlessly within the world. I think one of the earliest examples of poorly planned DLC is with the original Mass Effect game. It was clunky, lacked an identity, came out far too late, and nobody knew about it.

When the writing team finishes well before everyone else, what do you think they do? Sit around and twiddle their thumbs? They've written the game--there's nothing left for them to do other than moving onto other projects. I think this overly cynical approach to DLC is tired and dated. Judge a product based on what 'is' offered, not what 'is not.'

kenny1292 20 pts

Looks very promising! Can't wait.

As for dlc, it is DLC.  Don't want it don't buy it.  Simple as that guys.  They are a business, as much as you want to think game companies do what they do to make you happy, they don't  They make you happy to get your money.  That's capitalism.  They may have been founded originally to make people happy but they also had the idea of money in mind.  Money drives everything, want more stuff? pay more.

The game is $60 for a full campaign with continuation of a great story and what seems to be many new amazing features to breathe new life into the series.  Its just as much content as any other $60 game.

Let me summarize with a metaphor; you want basic cable? Pay the basic cable fee.  You want 100 movie channels and HD channels?  That costs extra.

P.S. sorry if my tone seems a bit hostile but people have been complaining about paying for dlc a lot lately and it's starting to really get to me.

HIT3kNology 94 pts

kenny1292Well said man. Too many clowns on here always complaining. They should pursue a degree in common sense and learn how to apply it in life.

urayanya 13 pts

kenny1292 FF XIII-2 is purposely made to have an unfinished ending and the true ending is in DLC. Soon many games will do the same. It's just their way of emptying the pockets of gamers.... I say it's stealing

CruiserCaptain 154 pts

 kenny1292

Yeah I've bee amazed that you can now "Pre-Order ACIII with 'Season Pass'"for 120$. ONE-HUDRED AND TWENTY!!! It's not even out, and you ca already overpay for stuff! Jst buy the game, wait a year and all the DLC will be on sale.

Wasn't the idea of DLC to be actual add-ons, something unexpected, a way to extend the life. But now DLC is SO standard, it is part of the game to the point where it's simply an excuse to make you think you should pay more because it's "seperate". Then you end up with things like Dragon's Dogaor other where the DLC is actually on disc, so you're paying to unlckstuff you already own, but they tell you that you don't. I know there are othe games that do this, but DD is one I fell for.

We are the consumers, WE ARE THE MARKET. WE can set the standrds. We have the right NOT to buy things.

Void_Kross 47 pts

kenny1292 Not to mention people are getting pissed because they are paying $30 dollars for a season pass. Did they overlook that it was a season pass and NOT a single DLC? I mean it seems to me like it's a rather nice deal, if you want any DLCs.

valdarez 153 pts

DLC is just getting ridiculous.  $30, c'mon....

project343 18 pts

valdarez Season passes have been around since LA Noire. This isn't a new thing.

ANUBISZER0 19 pts

Not to sound like an old man (I'm only 24) but I remember when I used to pay my $40, $50 or $60 plus tax to buy a game and that was it. Now to have the complete game you have to fork over an extra $20 or $30 or wait for the game of the year edition, and Assassin's Creed is famous for their pricy DLC.

Am I the only one who liked Revelations? I found Brotherhood quite boring thought...

I'm not saying that it was better or even near as good as AC2 but still.

ChiefFreeman 311 pts

The ship piloting looks like fun.    the graphics look a bit better, too.  they improved the terrible character faces from Assasins Creed 2, thank god.

Sarijon 54 pts

The game does look interesting but the same I thought the same of Revelations and that totally put me off the franchise with all the cool bits missing and   a lot of really annoying bits added especially the strategy bits. I'm afraid AC3 won't be a day one purchase, if at all - and that comes from someone who's played all the titles on both PS3 & PSP

Hey_Jay 562 pts

Sarijon I hear ya, but keep in mind that both games following AC2 got progressively more stale and were, in some respects, watered down versions of AC2. Personally, I take into account that they've been working on AC3 for the past three years, unlike the AC2 "expansions" that were essentially only year-long side projects. Those two were just a way of keeping the franchise relevant (something I disagree with), whereas AC3 is a full fledged, fresh new game with a whole new system, rebuilt from the ground up. They really took care and put the heart into this one. Frankly, I think Brotherhood and Revelations shouldn't have happened, considering they didn't put in 100% focus for development, but a full born sequel in AC3 has surely gotten the best of the best kind of treatment. I don't see it as stepping from Revelations to Assassin's Creed 3 -- not by a long shot. This is Assassin's Creed 3 stepping from Assassin's Creed 2.

devilkyn 6 pts

The game looks interesting. I appreciate the preview, but I did have to laugh though. During the wilderness portion, that would be an Elk and not a Moose. Thanks for the giggle.

gromebanget 6 pts

why citizen in Assasin creed can't swim when we throw them into the water?

Fembot_Eulogy 215 pts

gromebanget Simple. Swimming wasn't a priority to commoners in those days. If you knew how to swim, you were special. That's why Altair couldn't swim back in the day.

gromebanget 6 pts

@Fembot_Eulogy emm i see, i think the developer make it but absolutely it is the fact. Because i ilke throw people to the water and hope that them can swim like the assasin. And what about AC3, can the citizen swim in this game.

sorry for my bad english.

tightwad34 756 pts

gromebanget  It doesn't matter how  you say it as long as we know what you are saying.

BIG_BOSS_927 8 pts

Does anyone even really pay attention to the ads that play before the actual video? I understand the point of the advertising revenue, but it just seems kind of pointless. Even if you can't skip them, I'll just wait the 30 seconds and bypass the ad that way, then watch what I was looking for to begin with... oh yea, AC3 looks great. But after Brotherhood, Revelations looked good too and I was a bit disappointed with that. Don't think it'll be a day one buy for me, but maybe on day two!

tightwad34 756 pts

 BIG_BOSS_927

Unfortunately adds will be shoved down our throats and it's only going to get worse as technology grows. Everyone wants your money, except for me.

SANDMAN201 93 pts

 BIG_BOSS_927 I have AdBlock

Sarijon 54 pts

BIG_BOSS_927 I agree, I was looking forward to AC Revalations but it turned out to have a lot of rubbish in it that was just not enjoyable ie the shite stategy bits. So long as AC3 has left these out then I might purchase eventually but defo not day 1 - and that comes from someone who's played all the AC on PS3 & PSP - AC Revelations did a lot to hurt the franchise! :(

.........& I totally agree with you about the ad's

SavoyPrime 381 pts

Looks like there will be  a lot to keep me busy.

Vodoo 772 pts

This AC game looks like it'll be leagues better than the others in the series. This is my most anticipated game this year. I already have it completely paid off  :-)

Scorpion1813 551 pts

 Vodoo

It will take a lot to beat the original AC.

It's STILL the best in the franchise.
