Nexus 4 back in stock today in the U.S., too

Germany isn't the only country getting more Nexus 4 inventory today. The popular Google smartphone is now available in the U.S. and Canadian Google Play stores, as well.

The device, which costs $299 for the 8GB version or $349 for the 16GB model, will ship in one to two weeks for U.S. buyers, the site says. Hallo, Germany: Nexus 4 back in stock in country's Google store

Google's Nexus 4 smartphone is back in stock in the Google Play Store in Germany, making it one of the few locations where people can currently order the phone.

A Google spokeswoman told CNET the device became available in the European country this morning. She declined to provide details about future availability in other regions.

Better late than never. T-Mobile is increasing the number of ways you can buy Google's Nexus 7 tablet and Nexus 4 smartphone on its network.

Yesterday, the carrier started selling the LG-made Nexus 4 in more of its brick-and-mortar stores. Moreover, T-Mobile will carry the high-end smartphone in all stores nationwide in the coming weeks. On January 23, T-Mobile also plans to sell it online.

Beginning today, you'll be able to buy Google's 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet, complete with a T-Mobile SIM card, through Google Play.

Struggling to get your hands on the elusive Nexus 4 smartphone? LG says that's because it's so popular, citing "huge demand" when CNET UK asked about the phone's gloomy supply situation.

The Nexus 4 release has been anything but smooth. Google saw the launch day stock ordered up in just a few minutes. Then last week Google released some more inventory in the Play Store here in the U.S. and was met with more issues. The 8GB Nexus 4 started out at a 4-to-5-week ship time and eventually maxed out at 8-9 weeks before going back out of stock.
