Acer shows off Liquid E1 handset in China

Acer has shown off a new smartphone it's calling the Liquid E1.

Announced in China yesterday, the Liquid E1 will ship with a 4.5-inch, 960- x 540-pixel display and a dual-core 1GHz processor. The device will have two cameras onboard, including a 5-megapixel rear-facing and 0.3-megapixel front-facing lens. The Liquid E1 will ship with 1GB of onboard memory and 4GB of storage. Asus MeMo Pad 10 tablet makes video debut, could be announced at MWC

Someone let the pad out of the bag when a video featuring the unannounced Asus MeMo Pad 10 was posted yesterday. The video has since been set to "private," but it gave a sneak peek at the 10-inch tablet which is now speculated to premiere at Mobile World Congress in February.

The tablet is expected to ship with Android 4.1 and sport a 1,280x800 HD IPS display. It may house the 1.2GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor rather than the recently announced Tegra 4 quad-core.

Verizon pops color into Lumia, Droid Razr lineup

Starting tomorrow, Nokia will whip out a new color palette for two of its phones. In addition to white and dark gray, the Nokia Lumia 822 Windows phone will now come in red.

For its part, Motorola goes soft on the Droid Razr M, which you'll be able to pick up in pink, as well as the more traditional white and black.

Earlier this morning, Verizon also announced that it will carry Samsung's Ativ Odyssey Windows phone, beginning tomorrow for about $50.
