No level cap increase. Probably with the next one though. A grip of new stuff though. Sounds good to me.

Scott Kester from Gearbox Software walks us through what to expect from this fully Torgue'd DLC for Borderlands 2.
No level cap increase. Probably with the next one though. A grip of new stuff though. Sounds good to me.
@emanwell Pick a new char! 200 lvls total!(250 with mechro)
More skills to use sounds temting but re-farming all those legendaries and making specializing obselite? nah i dont think we need that.
@halo-freak Haha, somehow I imagined you saying "Pick a new char! 200 lvls total!" with Claptrap's voice
@emanwell Hey i dont wanna ruin your fantasy ;).
look here is my new dubstep:
wub wub wub wub wub wub wub.
i want level cap to be raised, not gonna play the dlc's till that, be pointless to play and gain all the exp on my lvl 50 characters
This looks a little like Moxxi's Underdome, but with the flaws fixed - new loot, new currency, a fullstory-driven campaign, the ability to level up within the DLC, and so forth.
One thing I noticed in the video that I really like is that the Torgue machines sell level-appropriate loot rather than everything being level 50.
I know some people get to level 50 quickly and spend most of their time there, and consider good quality, but lower level loot to be of little use, and I can respect playing the game that way.
I, on the other hand, like starting fresh with a new character after finishing the game with a given character/build, so having good quality items at every level is something that matters to me. I loved getting a level 13 Volcano show up in my Mechromancer playthrough - that sucker served as my primary sniper rifle until I got Mordecai's Trespasser at level 19.
Tweaking the loadout to be optimal for the level and character at every stage of progression is a big part of what I get from this game, and a new source of level appropriate loot during first playthrough is a nice addition.
I'm not going to watch this 'cause I'm just not interested in Borderlands, but I wanted to say something stupid. What is Haggar doing in Borderlands?
such perfect timing....thanksgiving break and new DLC for Borderlands 2. Can I get a hell yeah!
Holy shit, it's Hercule. MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPION OF THE WORLD BAYBAY. YAH HA HAAA! -Couldn't resist.-
I can only watch the retarded ad over and over and the video never loads. extremely annoying.
It's should be a condition of being allowed the play this DLC that every time Mr. Torgue speaks you have to turn your speakers up the MAXIMUM VOLUME!
ON RELATED NOTE, HERE ME. TORGUE'S OFFICIAL CHOICE OF DRINK, POWER THIRST! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-3qncy5Qfk&feature;=fvwrel
I think it's very cool they have orange weapons as weapons of the day. My only orange so far with about 80 total levels of characters is a lvl 8 orange! Pure luck. I don't like to farm bosses so it will be nice to have this option.
@dmblum1799 But there is one catch... they will only be Torgue weapons. I got a feeling 50% of the time it will be a Flakker. Flakk the flakkin flakker.
Where do you even get a Seraph crystal? :/ I beat the game already, ran through the DLC and have yet to see a crystal or a weapon lol.. & first Orange item I got I believe was Boom's Grenade mod, it was like 5882x8 lol.
(Spoiler Alert) After you beat the main boss and get the treasure, the credits roll. Game then continues and your are dumped out at Oasis. Walk over to that god-awful character Shade and he'll give you a quest to beat a Hyperion Boss in the oil rig. Bring friends. If you defeat him, he'll drop the crystals. After that, I believe your given another quest to go defeat another character in the cave area, and he also drops the crystals. Again, bring friends. I love the game, but I think they are punishing those that play it solo, as it's unbearably hard to beat terra-whats-his-name as well as the last two bosses in TP's B DLC. Good luck.
@CptRexKramer Wtf is TP's B? lol I can't even think of an Anagram lol... but ok thanks, the Hyperion guy is thee only thing I have yet to do basically cause I play Solo which you are right, Punishment for Solo players lol & I try not to play with random people cause they just run through collecting all of my shit, stealing every weapon they get their eyes on so I can't even upgrade much without wasting keys....... I had help to fight Terrmorphus at like lvl 40 lol, that guy killed him in about 3 shots, so it wasn't fair for me to fight him as a boss, there should be a lvl cap for people joining your game... As a lvl 15 why would I want your twice game beatign ass at lvl 50 on my team? Annoying!!!!!!!!!
What a shame that such a promising title should have been wasted on a game whose content is unsuitable for play! It's not like this game HAD to be M...
@Fullm3talbadass @tgwolf c'mon guys seem that he (or atleast his parents) followed the ESRB rating. Kudos to that :D
I'm just hoping the new loot is better than the last dlc, those seraph weapons are trash...
An orange rated item as an Item Of The Day?!? Wow! I just watched the video, and I hope that's common. I played the game twice and TP's B DLC twice (Normal and TVH), as a Commando. I have only picked up 2 orange weapons in that time. I have yet to come across anything else rated orange except a 2 mods for other classes. Sure would like to find the Bee Shield. Maybe one day.........
Yeah, after posting I went back to playing. About half an hour later I GOT A BEE SHIELD! So, I ran over to beat 'ol Terramorwhats-his-name and......... yeah, the shield kind of sucks, and I got my ass kicked, yet again. I don't have the great shotguns, but I've watched videos where solo players take him down quick with a variety of weapons. My weapons are not THAT bad, but I did not do NEARLY as much damage as what I viewed. So you might be right; it was nerfed.
@CptRexKramer Bee Shield is a 4-6% drop rate. Very easy. You will get at least one within 50-60 kills of Hunter Hellquist if not more.
(sigh) I've only gone back and re-killed him about 25 times. Looks like I still have a ways to go.
First time I got one it took about 30 to 40 trys. Next time it only took 7. Totally random so keep at it. He'll drop one eventually and you'll see it was worth the effort. Although it's only good in fights where you won't be getting shot at much. If even any of the shield is down you don't get the amp effect and it just becomes a rather weak shield. However on boss fights and areas where the enemies aren't going to be hitting you much it's amazing.
Well, I hope the design for the new DLC is better than the last release. I love Borderlands 2, but the Pirate's Booty DLC was a bit of a let down. Way to short compared to any of the DLC from the first Borderlands. TP'sB is a hell of a lot more glitch filled than Borderlands 2. The missions were a bit stale, as were the level designs. And the Shade character was just flat out horrible. My god I hated listening to him. But having said that, I've been playing the game so much to get not only all of the achievements, but the Bad Ass Challenges as well, that I'm probably starting to get burned out.
@CptRexKramer My hope here is that there is no more 24 lock out. I would like to be able to obtain as many torgue tokens as I want in a day so that I can buy those legendaries at the torgue vending machine. I also hope it doesn't only sell once per day >_>. Seraph crystals was a big gameplay mechanic debacle, and I hope gearbox learned from that.
Agreed. As for the Seraph Crystals, yeah, have yet to obtain any of those. Not even close to killing the boss, but then, I've only been going at it solo. Boy, that Bee Shield sure would be handy. ;)
@CptRexKramer @saucex4 @Frozone007 @GreySif The Bee was only nerfed on PC, the patch is yet to be released for Consoles and the Bee stats depend on it's level so i advice you to get one after you beat TVHM because after that most enemies scale to your level and drop high level equipment (lv50).
@saucex4 @Frozone007 @GreySif Hey I got a question. Is there a huge difference between getting the Bee Shield on normal mode or getting it on TVH mode? I FINALLY got it last night on normal mode, but as was pointed out eariler, it's been nerfed. So, would the Bee Shield aquired on TVH mode be any better as to be worth the effort to get it?
@Frozone007 @CptRexKramer Seraph weapons all have slow moving projectiles, and bad accuracy. There are only 3 seraph items imo that are worth getting. Evolution shield (better version of neogenator), Blood of Seraphs relic (better version of blood of TM relic), and perhaps one of the rifles, though it is very inaccurate. The splat gun is also more powerful than it's etech cousin but it's just as hard to use.
@CptRexKramer The bee has been severely nerfed so it is not as powerful as before, though with a bit of build tweaking you can make your character use it much more effectively than before. As for seraph weapons, I hate to say it cause I love GBX, but they are just garbage no use in farming for them.
@Frozone007 @CptRexKramer @saucex4 They are but they lack accuracy, it's ridiculous actually, most of them shoot like they're on crack. Stick with Bee, CC and Baby maker and you're good to go.
@CptRexKramer @saucex4 Go Bee-equipped with CC & Two-Fer Maggie & it all becomes so easy:D I thought Seraph weapons are more powerful than Orange? (saw a Seraph 15k+ pistol anyways) so orange in the DLC doesn't make it outdated? Anyone care to shed some light on this?I am purely speculating on what other players offered me for exchange during online play..I am too poor to buy Pirate's BootyXD
