After a very warm weekend, much needed soaking rain is here for the next few days!
The battle zone between cold and warm is overhead. This has developed a front across the region, which is bringing rain showers. Small disturbances will ride along the front bringing our area heavy downpours at times. By Wednesday, rainfall totals will range from 1 to 2 inches, with some spots seeing 3 to 4 inches (especially southwest sections).
Today is rainy and not as warm. Highs in the 50s. Tonight rain continues and it turns cooler. Lows in the mid to upper 30s. Tuesday and Wednesday rain showers are still likely. Highs in the 40s.
Late week and into the weekend expect a mix of sun and clouds. It's seasonal, as afternoon temperatures will be in the 40s to near 50, with lows in the 20s and 30s. Right now very cold air is likely to move in for the workweek of January 21.
