The Brand Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Head of Marketing for Latin America. This position oversees all aspects of marketing communications including Advertising and Media, Public Relations, Online Marketing, Community Management, Brand Image, Promotions and Consumer Research for Latin America. The candidate should be a highly driven and experienced marketing professional who has managed top brands throughout Latin America, under a global and regional scope with retail and online positioning experience.

  • Supervise a high performing team of three marketing professionals focused on public relations, digital marketing and advertising/media management and provide reporting teams with clear long- and short-term goals and objectives. Strong motivational and career guidance skills are required.
  • Manage regional brand communication plans for product launches and brand that includes: direct mail, mobile, digital media buys, social media strategies, promotions and brand alliances across the region.
  • Collaborate with subsidiary MarCom teams on the execution of marketing plans and branding campaigns.
  • Manage brand, consumer and competitive research by conducting brand health studies, competitive analysis and deep segmentation studies with research agencies.
  • Manage the analysis of monthly industry reports, quarterly competitive analysis, web and media reports with the goal of finding improvements and developing long term brand strategies.
  • Develop advertising, promotional and PR programs to enhance sales. This will include leading day-to-day campaign management with budgeting, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of product and brand advertising programs.
  • Foster outside agency relationships to develop a creative ecosystem and maintain and manage agency roster to come up with and execute big, never-been-done-before ideas with lasting impact to PlayStation.
  • Support manager and local teams with media training and securing speaking engagements
  • Create engaging press materials including press releases, media alerts, and press kits.
  • Build, manage and leverage relationships with business, trade, tech and consumer media contacts across traditional and gaming media.
  • Manage digital programs including online marketing, PlayStation Network stores branding, corporate sites maintenance, social media management.
  • Develop and direct a communications budget based on sales projections, break-even analysis and brand goals.
  • Partner with PlayStation Network teams to ensure marketing materials effectively communicate benefits to target customer segments.

Experience Requiredtop

  • Good communication skills - written and verbal; team player, project management and prioritization. Verbally understand and explain complex business issues and reports. Needs to be able to work independently in addition to extremely well with others, including  3rd party partners, US/ European/ peers, vendors, agencies and senior management from both SCEA and external companies.  Should maintain a high level of professional maturity. Resourceful  problem solver.
  • Quick study for inter-company process and corporate policies; attention to detail, timely follow-up and strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced spreadsheet/excel and powerpoint / presentation skills. Needs to be proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Reader, Internet.  Strong skills with Omniture and Google Analytics.
  • Demonstrated and superior project management skills and attention to detail. Able to be given broad outlines for desired objective and/or analysis and translate to actual content and format. Works well under normal supervision but will seek direction. Creative thinker and multi tasker.
  • Marketing for CPG global brand a must. Knowledge of the gaming industry is a plus. Solid foundation of advertising, digital marketing, and brand strategy.
  • English & Spanish verbal and written fluency required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel occasionally, although travel should not exceed 30%.

 
Required Experience / Education:
  • At least 6 years of marketing communications experience, classic brand training and strong CPG background
  • At least 4 years of online marketing management
  • At least 4 years managing direct reports
  • Masters degree or equivalent
  • English & Spanish verbal and written fluency required
Preferred Experience
  • Skilled with media
  • Strong negotiation skills with agencies
  • English, Spanish and Portuguese verbal and written fluency preferred
