Qualified Senior Seed Runners
If you qualify for Senior Seeding, please follow these instructions:

  1. If you qualified for Senior Seeding based on your 2012 Bloomsday time (not based on age group placing), your best bet is to enter online by the posted deadline. You'll be given the option during online registration of purchasing (for $25.00) an amenities package--which includes a Second Seed singlet, gear bag, transport of gear bag from start to finish on race day, and entry to the post-race tent party. Whether you choose to purchase the amenities package or not, a brown number will be assigned to you. This number will allow you to start in the Second Seeding area.
  2. If you enter through the mail, contact Second Seed Coordinator by April 21 to make arrangements to receive a Second Seed number (you'll also have the option of purchasing the amenities package).
  3. Once you've arranged for Senior Seeding in one of the ways listed above, pick up your official number (and amenities package, if you purchased it) at the Second Seed desk at Check-In on Friday, May 3 or Saturday, May 4.
  4. If you qualify for Senior Seeding but don't purchase an amenities package ahead of time, you can do this at Check-In for $25.00,subject to availability.  In any case, you must have a brown number to start in the Senior/Second Seed area.

Warm-up Gear Drop-off and Post-Race Party
Senior Seed runners who purchase the amenities package may check their warm-up gear at the start line.  Your gear will then be waiting for you at the Corporate Cup Post-Race Party.  Free drinks, food, and massage at the party are included in the amenities package. You must be wearing your Second Seed singlet to attend the party.

Senior Seeding for Out-of-Town Runners
Out-of-town runners who are unable to qualify for Elite Seeding may be able to qualify for Senior Seeding. Check with Second Seed Coordinator for details. Senior Seeding is limited, but race officials will do their best to accommodate out-of-town runners.

If you have questions about Senior Seeding, please contact Second Seed Coordinator.
