Sep 12, 201295Ratchet & Clank Collection is a reminder of how one developer dared to give some guns to a platforming mascot and made a couple classics in the process. In an era where every third-person shooter comes with bloodstains and a cover mechanic, it's nice to return to this lovable duo and discover that they haven't aged a bit.
-
Aug 28, 201293Idol Minds did a wonderful job sprucing up Insomniac's celebrated action-platforming series. It rarely occurred to me while playing that these are gussied-up versions of last-gen games. Few modern games boast such strong levels of writing, pacing, and gameplay. Whether you're a Ratchet enthusiast or a series newcomer, this collection is a ton of fun.
-
Jul 11, 201293There is very little to criticise with this release and any criticisms are very minor. This all provides supreme value and recommended to everyone who enjoys action plat-former titles.
-

Jul 16, 201290Three undeniable classics made even classier. A nut-worthy purchase. [August 2012, p74]
-
Jun 29, 201290Tons of content and great entertainment value from start to finish. The graphics look great, being what it is, and the games still play nearly as smooth as ten years ago, but in the end it's the hilarious script and quirky characters that make this collection utterly fantastic, trumping both Sly, Jak and Kratos.
-
Jun 26, 201290The first three games in the Ratchet & Clank franchise receive a lovingly crafted graphical overhaul, further cementing their position as one of the premier platforming franchises to grace the PlayStation family of consoles. Both new and old fans alike will appreciate the foundation of the series, with its focus on action platforming, bizarre weapons and gadgetry and quirky characters.
-
Jun 19, 201290This compilation captures Ratchet & Clank at their innovative, genre-bending best. Great games at a great price make for a compelling if disappointingly businesslike package. If you have any fondness for the platforming genre, you owe it to yourself to sample this greatest hits compilation from arguably the last worthy faces to grace the genre.
-

-
Sep 6, 201285The remarkable gameplay of Ratchet and Clank's first three adventures holds up in this great HD package, but don't expect a pitch-perfect port.
-
Aug 15, 201285The Ratchet and Clank Trilogy is a strong remake collection. All the titles in the pack have received a facelift and are still as much fun as they were back in the day. The games have a lot to offer with a lot of humour, ingenious weapons and futuristic gadgets and are as much fun for players wanting to relive the past as for gamers new to the series. The only slight downside is the simple multiplayer mode.
-
Jul 17, 201285What they have done is modernised the look and feel of the game but by keeping the games true to the originals they have given new gamers the opportunity to experience some great platform gaming.
-
Jul 9, 201285Three great games, but that was already the case when these games came out in the PlayStation 2 era. If you haven't played them, buy this. If you have… well, I guess that depends on how much of a fan you are.
-
Jun 26, 201285This is undoubtedly an amazing collection. In just one BR Disc you can find three of the most fun and entertaining piece of work of PlayStation's history.
-
Jun 26, 201285The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is just fun. It reminds you of a time when Ratchet & Clank were at the top of their game. Please, Insomniac Studios, do something with it and bring a total new Ratchet & Clank for us.
-
Jun 19, 201285It's also fun seeing how Ratchet and Clank evolve as a team.
-
Jul 3, 201284It's clear that Insomniac was light years ahead of its peers. The combination of jumping, strafing and shooting incredibly fun guns is as addictive as ever. The graphics have also been beautifully upgraded. It's one of the best looking HD collections we've seen so far. [July 2012, p.78]
-

-
Jul 5, 201280Ratchet & Clank's third native PS3 adventure A Crack in Time remains the popular duo's most essential outing, but that doesn't detract from the Ratchet & Clank Trilogy's appeal. If you're eager to learn a little more about the franchise's origins, or simply want to re-visit three of the greatest PS2 titles ever crafted, then you'll be well serviced here.
-
Jun 28, 201280In summary, The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy collects three games that everyone should play in one affordable bundle. Extras might be few and far between, but Idol Minds has done a great job rendering the titles in HD. It's cross-genre gameplay at its finest, complete with memorable characters, expert level design and one of the best arsenals this side of Borderlands. A highly recommended trip down memory lane.
-
Jun 26, 201280It's more than just a nostalgia trip, mind; this is a trilogy that plays great, looks even better and gels together more seamlessly than any other HD collection I've played to date.
-
Jun 21, 201280A compilation with no positive or negative surprises, that will allow newcomers to discover the origin of the series, and seasoned players to enjoy the first games again in an updated fashion.
-
Jun 21, 201280Ratchet & Clank Trilogy offers no surprises, and if you own any of the other HD Collections, you know exactly what you're in for. Nevertheless, all three games are fun, surprisingly good looking and immensely playable, making this package a treat for all fans of the series.
-
Jun 20, 201280Three gems from the past, a collection worth (re)buying.
-
Jun 19, 201280Yes, fatigue does set in the further into the Trilogy you get, but it's hard to argue with a package that represents such good value with three quality games.
-
Jun 19, 201280When you've got a series that lets you transform foes into sheep and demands you save tourists from feral intergalactic squirrels, whinging over resolutions seems smaller than its dinky droid sidekick.
-
Jun 25, 201278First time R+Cers are better off with current titles but this is a great value nostalgia trip. [August 2012, p.69]
-
Jun 20, 201277A new pack with three indispensable adventures, including online modes. The games are less mature and deep, but always fun. An opportunity to know how Ratchet and Clank started.
-
Jun 19, 201275Younger users will certainly be happy to replay the series but the most experienced will probably struggle to complete all three episodes. For them the trilogy will have a more nostalgic value.
