I'm in tier two for both spartan ops and matchmaking

As much as I hate to say, my friend brought a very good point to this Infinity Challenge and so, I shall say something. Winning this has nothing to do with skill. Its all about how much you play. Me as well as a ton of my friends think THAT is bs because we all have jobs thank you. Some loser with no job and cant support his own butt plays Halo 4 24/7 and wins a nice a** truck? I couldnt be more flabbergasted.

Exactly how about a RANKING SYSTEM... Then give the truck to the player who IS THE BEST. I'm good at this game... But I'm rarely the person with the most points per game. Even with 20 or 30 kills and 2 deaths. I will have less points then a guy with 20 or 30 kills 90 deaths who walked around distracting people. RANK RANK RANK RANK RANK

i completely agree with the previous opinions.  i have a full time job and dont have time to play round the clock.  this challenge should have been tailored to everyone.  i find it to be descriminating and unfair to those of us who have to put food on the table.  dont the hard working people deserve a just opportunity?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that realized how bad 343 messed up things again, this contest doesn't require skill just that you sit in front of your tv all day and night.  I know of a few people who when they get tired of playing just hand over the controller to a friend or family member and then just keep earning those precious points.  I've pretty much given up, I can't play all day and night so way to go all you grandma's boys who have nothing but free time to play.

I think the challenge is a good idea but I am disappointed that we have not got any new game types for two weeks. Instead we get slayer and ctf with a new word in the title. I think this competition should be on old game types ( like it is) but we should still get new updated gametypes like griffball or hotpotato as well

You all sound so entitled about the fact that your odds maybe worse than someone else's...You have jobs over the people who get to potentially win a prize! Prizes that neither 343 nor Virgin HAD to make available...how many other games are offering potential prizes for playing their video game a lot?

I think it's awesome they're giving a truck away to an underachiver who is wasting all Americas money taking unemployment checks and using governmental programs to play video games while I work 40-50 hours a week in a lab trying to cure cancer. Yea I can barely feed my wife and coming child why would someone like me deserve to win. I love halo and I'm all about it. Bought all the legendary editions, and Yoink! my house is John 117 decorated because I love this game so much yet I have no change to compete with scum bags sitting at home all day playing. I mean I wish I could play 130 hours out of 168 hours a week for a chance to actually win something in my life, but I can't because I went to school paying my own way and owing a lot still. Sorry for my rant just mad I can't play enough of my favorite game to win any of these bad ass prizes. Losers will get these prizes the ones who do nothing to help society and only take without any give in them at all. Work to live family is #1.

Love how my Gamertag should be in that list for Spartan Ops, but isn't because of some stupid reason that virgingaming is apparently trying to fix... -_-

I like the system they are using because it doesn't rely on skill. If it did 80% of the people who are true Halo fans wouldn't have a chance at winning any prizes. Yeah maybe someone who just plays Halo 24/7 may win the truck but if he doesn't work he won't be able to do anything with it since he couldn't afford the gas or insurance.

So, if its based on how many points you get, how do they know the tier 1 members didnt just 'inflate' their scores? How can they tell if they are getting the points legitimately?
I'm just throwing that out there, points can be inflated, look at the controversial gamerscore inflation microsoft got all upset about. Who's to say it cant be done here?

With so many people competing you not only have to have to play a lot but keep a high average score per game. Read the rules this is only the qualifying round. Playing 100 hours a week to top the leader board during qualifying only gets you a spot in tier 1. The Finals are only 1 week long and there are 3 tiers in which to compete for prizes. I probably played a little over 10 hours last week and I made it to tier 1 as well as spending an hour playing spartan ops and reaching tier 2. If you want your skill to win you a prize try to be the first 20 to complete a weekly challenge,  you have to get up early but they take less than 2 hours if your good. Sure you won't win a car but it's highly unlikely you would win it with any other kind of ranking. (spartan ops has the same prizes yet seems to be less competitive so far, if you really want to win something sit at tier 2 or 3 and then grind it during the final week).

Is there an error with the leader board tiers maybe?

If the bottom of tier three is rank 7750 then tier one, as the top 10%, should be rank 1 to rank 775.

But currently the leaderboard says tier one is rank 1 to rank 5253?

they cannot differentiate between a player who gets points for assisting and getting the flag, or a player who gets kills the whole time, so if two people are sitting on the same score, they have the same rank. and because of this the people in tier 1, even though there is 10%, they have more variety because there is a bigger difference between the lower ranks of 20000 points and higher of 200,000 points, where tier 2 of 30% has 10,00 - 19,995

What I think is actually funny, is that these guys are gunning to be number 1... It even says in the rules, that the qualifier phase ends on January 11th, (Midnight). On that day everyone gets tier locked with a score of 0. Reset. Star over. Done. I'm just keeping myself stable around 1000+ until they reset it. I play a few hours every other night. There's no way I'm spending my winter break 24/7 on Halo. AND. Did these guys forget about Tax? the ARP of the Truck is Shy of $80,000. I mean,I'm fresh on 18, so I wouldn't know about taxes, but slap a luxury tax on that, and you got a pretty penny, there. So for those guys who can't support themselves, they've got a pretty big bill for someone. Well... Assuming 343 doesn't pay the tax.

Just have fun playing, and enjoy the challenge, guys. Know whoever wins 1st skipped out on life for it, and you didn't. Come on, we can be proud for that, right?

This free tournament is just for fun guys, stop ranting about picky details. I enjoy it.

Regardless, we are all here playing the game whether we win the truck or not. At least now people play a little harder and provide more of a challenge in matchmaking. dirtytactics209 Bring it. I'm always up to whip on somebody. All said the game is cool, except for the delayed black screen every now and a while. Game on Noobs!!!

I signed up, n got the conformaton email,but for some reason wen I search my gamertag but it saids "Not found please enter a full gamertag"? This sucks cuz i know i should be in Tier 1. N i cant find away to contact them about this problem
