TOP500 List to Mark 20th Anniversary at SC12 in Salt Lake City

Do you remember the machine that took the first No. 1 position when the list debuted way back in 1993? Or how many consecutive lists were topped by the Earth Simulator? And when did Roadrunner make it into first place?

At a special TOP500 history exhibit at the SC12 conference in Salt Lake City, posters featuring every one of the No. 1 systems from 20 years – that’s 40 lists – will be displayed as part of the SC12 Exhibition. Please be sure to stop by and see just how dramatically the field of HPC has changed since June 1993. The TOP500 display will be in booth 3928, right across the main aisle from ISC Events.

The 40th edition of the list will also be announced during the SC12 conference.
