Finalist Nintendo 3DS XL
Over a year after the Nintendo 3DS brought glasses-free 3D gaming to the palms of our hands, the gaming giant has gone large with larger dual-screens and a bigger 3D sweet spot.

A technological miracle it may have been, but the original Nintendo 3DS, so-far, hasn’t been quite the hit many expected in the smartphone-trained era of handheld gaming. This year, Nintendo has upscaled the console to expand the experience - resulting in the Nintendo 3DS XL.
The device brings 90 per cent more screen real estate, with a 4.88-inch top screen (up from 3.58-inches on the 3DS) and a 4.18-screen underneath to complement the now-healthy range of high-profile and downloadable e-Shop titles.
The result is a far more immersive, vastly improved gaming experience thanks to the larger 3D sweet spot. All this sets the 3DS XL apart as the model new gamers should opt for.
