CASA manufactures the C-212 and CN-235 civil and military transport aircraft as well as the C-101 advanced trainer. CASA is the Spanish arm of EADS and a partner in the Airbus Industrie, Eurofighter, AMC and Arianespace consortia. Besides these activities, CASA designs and manufactures components and structures for companies such as Boeing and Saab. In 1999 CASA became the third full member of European Aerospace Defense and Space company (EADS), after the joint founders Aerospatiale Matra and Daimler Chrysler Aerospace. EADS began operations in June 2000.
