AC3 or Xcom? After playing this demo it's a no-brainer, Xcom all the way! Now I just have to decide which console to get it on.

Firaxis did a really nice job here. Although not as good as the original UFO Defense this game clearly appeals to older players and new ones alike without losing too much of what made the original one of the best games ever made. In a gaming generation with almost non-existant innovation this game comes pretty close as an instant modern classic.

moreover if you compare this to medieval/magical RPG Tactic game.
Ogre Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics... Almost the same gameplay the differences are XCOM's Gameplay have a unique strategical and tactical gameplay that will never find to those.
anyway kudos. The best remake of XCOM deserving as a 8.5 - 9.0 ratings

This looks good. Is it a bit like Valkyria Chronicles in terms of gameplay? Also is there an easy mode? I don't like getting stuck in strategy games.
robtion Don't know about Valkyria Chronicles, but yes, there is an easy mode which combined with unlimited saves makes the game a cakewalk, if that's what you are looking for.
I still have the PS1 versions (Enemy and Terror) of this game and am happy I can let em gather some dust for a while now cause this one is gonna suck up a load of my life again, DAMN YOU ALIEN SCUM.

If you had any net worth whatsoever, you wouldn't be spouting off like a teenager about this. Nobody really cares other than how much of a loser it makes you come off as. A guy with your attitude will always be socially inept, and that?s something no amount of nerd hardware purchased at Chinamart can fix.

I know that they wanted to make big come back of legendary game, but this is most annoying and stupidest game that I ever played and has nothing to do with old x-com or laser squad or any such a game. Management of the base is too simplified, and combat is crowded with some stupid rules, not to mention that man with a rank of colonel misses every time when he shots. Enemies are excessively superior and some missions are not playable at all, it's just frustrating. Jagged Alliance for example is much better tactical game.
I almost forgot, most annoying thing is cinematic in half of the action, every time you meet enemy you are forced to watch this shit.
Ofrst You are right, the original timeunits system was better, this simplified combat is bad, everything is simplified.
This game looks pretty awesome. What made me interested was the Escape From Mount Stupid episode a couple of weeks ago, otherwise I probably would've had no interest in it. I may actually spend money on this now. I wish they would make a new Fallout: Tactics similar to this.

An interface that makes some maps insanely painful to deal with because the camera keeps going outside the structure? A manual that's about two pages long when you take the EULA out? No ability to change soldier armor colors unless you pre-ordered? Every soldier sounding like an American even though they supposedly come from all over the world? A final battle that you can win before the enemies can fire off a shot??
No, definitely not 10/10 material. A very fun game and definitely worth full price but no way is it 10/10.
Zloth2 I know what level your talking about i think. The one with the large space craft that lands? Inside that thing was the 1st time the interface actually pissed me off. That level almost broke the game for me. I wonder if it had the same issues on Console... I love this game to death but i cant give it a 10 either. Hopefully well get an XCOM 2 in a few years with all the things this game lacked.

@ Albaficas ...the kiddies make me laugh...list some ps3 games,i probably own all of them plus 50 more,plus xbox360 and pc...and you are playing on a console???...lol...no wonder you think the graphics are so bad...lol...the graphics arnt bad on the pc for this type of game...i play my ps3 through a samsung 55 inch led 8000 series tv,which is a slammin tv for bluray btw...it dose not compare in clarity on my little 24 inch asus 1080p 2ms monitor in any way shape of form...asus max for 5 mobo,3770k cpu,16gb ram,680 ftw 4gb card,all water cooled,overclocked to 4.6,ssd cache and 2 hard drives in raid 0...this pc flys.
