The journey that the characters go through not only has that trademark Dwarf cheek and charm, but also a few sprinkles of the series’ trademark surrealist wit.
A bit more thought-provoking than the episode that preceded it, the second episode of Red Dwarf’s new series is ultimately a slightly mixed but entertaining affair.
Fantasy drama Merlin is back this autumn with an epic fifth series, currently airing on BBC One on Saturday evenings, with Series 5 Volume 1 released on DVD on Monday 26th November.

Series X begins with the Dwarfers’ mining ship still creaking though the wastelands of unchartered deep space, but the posse soon stumble upon the mysteriously abandoned SS Trojan. Throughout the series Lister (Craig Charles) grapples with the problem of being his own father, gets involved in a love triangle with snack dispensers 23 and 34, while Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) and Cat (Danny John-Jules) become quantum entangled forcing them to do everything in unison.
Series X extras include We're Smegged (feature-length documentary), deleted scenes and Smeg Ups.
