The epic cross-franchise fighter PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has just become a little more epic with the announcement of two new downloadable characters.
Taking to the PlayStation Blog, Battle Royale's Lead Game Designer announced that Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmett Graves from the PS3 shooter Starhawk would join the cast of 20 fighters already available in the game at launch.
Best of all, Kat and Emmet Graves will be completely free to download - assuming that you act quickly.
More brawl for your buck
Once development work is completed on Kat and Emmet early next year, the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale team will make them available as a free download for a period of two weeks.
After those two weeks are over, players must purchase the DLC characters for a price that has yet to be announced.
Both characters will bring unique fighting styles to Battle Royale. Kat will employ 'mind-bending' manipulations of gravity to launch aerial assaults at opponents while Emmet Graves will make use of Starhawk's unique "Build and Battle" system.
Also, he'll have the somewhat unfair ability to call in air support when the situation calls for it.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released on November 20 in North America, November 21 in Europe, and November 23 in the UK.
